the worker asked me for my sandwich, then made 6 other orders in front of me while i waited for 15 minutes (no one else in line). it might not be his fault but why am I waiting that long when I'm the only one in line.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Subway location. I placed an online order through the Subway app (Order # 7ADB971C-A5) at approximately 9:10–9:12 p.m., with a scheduled pickup time of 9:30 p.m. Despite this, when I arrived at the store at the designated time, my order was not prepared. My husband, wearing a red T-shirt and turban, also went inside the store at 9:30 p.m., and at that time the order had not even been started. This can be confirmed by reviewing the store’s CCTV footage.

When I calmly reminded the staff member, Raman (wearing round goggles), that pre-orders should be ready by the scheduled pickup time, she responded in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. She insisted that the order was “received” at 9:30 p.m.—which is entirely false, as 9:30 p.m. was the pickup time, not the placement time. Instead of accepting responsibility, she argued with me and even stated that she “does not have time to make only my order” because she had to serve other customers.

I was neither rude nor confrontational—I only made a polite suggestion that orders should be prepared on time, since customers pre-order specifically to save time. However, her response was argumentative, dishonest, and disrespectful. Such behavior is unacceptable.

The Subway app was created to ensure faster, more efficient, and more convenient service. If the system cannot be relied upon to provide this, it fails its intended purpose. Every order and every customer—whether online or in-store—deserves to be treated equally, fairly, and with professionalism. To prioritize some customers over others is not only unjust, but it damages trust in the Subway brand.

Having worked in retail myself for more than three years, I understand the importance of professionalism, courtesy, and customer satisfaction. This incident fell drastically below acceptable standards and left me deeply dissatisfied.

I want to emphasize that I do not wish to risk anyone’s employment over this matter. However, I strongly believe that the staff involved requires immediate training and corrective guidance to ensure such incidents are not repeated in the future.

The only reason I am leaving a one-star review instead of zero is because, despite everything, the sandwich itself was prepared well. Unfortunately, the quality of service overshadowed the quality of the food.

I will also be escalating this matter to Subway’s Head Office team by email, so that this incident can be investigated properly and corrective measures can be taken.

Unprofessional. Rude. Argumentative. Dishonest. A damaging reflection of Subway’s service standards.

Awesome location? Near UBC hospital. Cheaper and better meal quality than McDonalds! Open 24 hours! Perfect for working near by. Unfortunately I have to order on the app to use the coupon. (Tim Hortons app I can order in person using the app coupons.) I like ordering in person. Clean restaurant. Fully stocked chip display. Good selection of cookies. The wall menu is easy to read. The drink case is fully stocked. High and regular hight tables. (My friend has back issues. Meaning no sitting in a chair.) The sandwich was ready before the estimated time. Will return again!

It's been a long time since I was at a Subway and I was at UBC and decided to visit this location. Wow things that sort of changed but I managed to get something that I thought I would like. It was okay and I understand now why I haven't been for a long time.

Guys the app is very bad, don’t ever order from the app. First there will be some glitch in the app and next thing you see is that you can’t get a refund or even change the delivery location.

I had a terrible experience with the service today at 3:45 PM. The staff member was extremely rude and seemed in a hurry to rush the customer out. I strongly recommend that management review the staff’s behavior.
