I would give my life for their cold ramen salad recipe ? Suika is perfect for celebrating (casual) birthdays and sharing dishes: always a good time.

Classy, delicious food of the highest quality! Loved the atmosphere, the food, the drinks and the La Win Asian market one block away. One of the absolute best places to get a well made, healthy and delicious meal in all of Vancouver.

Everything was good but the table is too small for us (we order quite a lot of food) and it was a bit noisy.

Very very pleased with this restaurant. You can tell the employees enjoy being part of the atmosphere, they contribute to it and provide an excellent service. The food, the drinks and everything in between was beyond expectation. The watermelon mango mojito was excellent, the karaage was super juicy and the main dish was wonderful. I would recommend to all.

We spontaneously walked trough restaurant. The atmosphere was great and we went in. It's definitely worth it, especially the beef tongue bibimbap. All the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is great.

I heard that in Canadian restaurants, staff are instructed to prioritize customers who are on the phone over customers who are in the restaurant. I understand that they don't want to lose customers who are on the phone, but I don't think it's good to make customers stand there for a long time while they're on the phone until they finish the call. All they have to do is ask another staff member to show their table. I made a reservation and arrived at the appointed time, but we were made to stand at the entrance for a long time. Should we wait to get our table until staff finish her call? I hope they would talk about this, if you were customer what would you think about.

I recently took my friend out for his birthday and specifically chose this restaurant because of the special occasion. During the booking process on OpenTable, I made sure to mention that it was a birthday celebration, hoping it would be acknowledged during our visit. Unfortunately, it seems that detail was overlooked, which was disappointing as it was one of the main reasons I selected this place for the celebration.

Aside from that, the food and service were excellent as usual, which is why I will definitely return in the future.

Friendly and attentive service in a quaint setting....aside from having ample of space in between tables ?, it perfectly radiates the Japanese izakaya vibe!

The atmosphere here was great! Staff have so much energy and it seemed like everyone was celebrating a birthday here. The food was so good, we ordered a lot for the table to share. The crab croquettes were so good, highly Recommended. The corn kakiage was pretty good. The sushi platter was fresh and the pork tomahawk was delicious.

Been a few years since we’ve eaten at Suika. Quality is the same, portions have decreased. Atmosphere is still fun and lively.

Shared the black garlic edamame ($6.40), two kimchi tuna tartar ($14.80 for 3) and corn kakiage ($12.00) to start. For mains, we had salmon pressed sushi ($17.40), hamachi pressed sushi ($18.40), signature beef curry ($15.80), gyutan bibimbap ($18.80), sansho unagi bibimbap ($19.80), uni and crab carbonara udon ($19.00), miso carbonara udon ($18.20) and dynamic pork tomahawk ($25.40). Finished with the sakekasu cheese-ish cake ($6.80), frozen matcha brulee ($8.00) and kinako tiramisu ($7.80).

Best items were the beef tongue bibimbap (rice got super crispy) and black garlic edamame. Tomahawk was disappointingly fatty. Desserts were all great.
