Very good food with good ambience and good service delivery as well. Staff was very polite , respectful and kudos to “Bikram” for the good service and making our evening special. Must visit restaurant.
Ambience and experience was great, the naan that we ordered both cheese garlic and onion coriander were amazing, the pav slider was average, a bit sweet for our liking but he onion pakora was crispy, so that compensated for the pav sliders being average, we ordered kadai paneer for mains and it was too tangy but tasted decent, I won’t be ordering that again. Both the deserts were amazing. Overall a good experience, would visit again.

Food was amazing, great menu selection, and good portion sizes. Vikram our server was excellent! I will be going back!
We had a wonderful meal at Sula Commercial last week. The food was excellent. Service was abit slow at first but then they found their groove and they were very attentive. It can get a bit noisy in the restaurant but well worth it for the food. Parking can be challenging in the area so allow some extra time for that. We'd definitely go back!
Had the sev puri and tandoori fish for appetizer. Sev puri was good but the fish was watery. Ordered the saag paneer for dinner and on my second bite I thought I felt a hair wrapped around my tongue so I spit into a napkin and there was a long, thick black hair in it. They were nice and offered to make a replacement dish but I was grossed out and lost my appetite. They took the saag paneer off the bill and gave a complimentary dessert (ras malai - wasn't good) It would've been nice if they let us pick what we wanted instead. Good service but wouldn't go back because of quality of food.
I was very disappointed with my last meal on Commercial Drive. I am a longtime customer of Sula; I have always gone to Main Street, 10 times at least. I took a party of 6 people. One of our party did not receive his main course until the rest of us had finished our meals. My main course of Butter Chicken was the worse dish I have ever had.! It was chicken in tomato sauce; not a hint of flavour or spice. I could not eat it. After I complained twice we were given free drinks and 2 desserts between 6 of us but I will never go to that Sula again!
I had a good time with girlfriends and the service was very good. Classy decor! The lamb was not as tender as I would have expected it to be. Overall a good experience. I recommend the restaurant.
If you're looking for a lively place with excellent service, Sula's is a great place to choose. We had an outstanding server, Sneha, who provided us with exceptional service. There were a lot of birthdays the night we went, and all the table participated in singing and chapping for the birthday people. If you are looking for a very quiet, intimate and romantic place, this is probably not the right vibe for you.
Consistently great Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had renovated since the last time I dined in this restaurant. It looks wonderful. The staff are always so kind and attentive. It is my favourite Indian restaurant in Vancouver.
Loved the food and the friendly service. The presentation of the food is gorgeous. Medium was spicy enough for me. Will definitely go back.

Came to celebrate my birthday and they were excellent at accommodating myself and 3 other friends. They provided a complimentary appetizer and dessert for my birthday. Was a wonderful experience overall with great food and service.
Sula is one of my favorite restaurants and I always have it on my bday. This year was a special year and I felt so pampered and well cared for by the staff especially our main server. The food as always was exceptional, even for two of my guests who had specific food requirements. The who experience was excellent and I have received enthusiastic and happy responses from my friends and family who were there. Thank you to the amazing staff for the beautiful meal, great service and for making the evening so special and unforgettable!
The food is definitely excellent as well as the ambience but it's the welcoming staff with warm, interested smiles who make the difference. Thank you for making another evening perfect.
We had lunch at Sula on Commercial Drive. The layout and decor of the place is typical of many other East Indian restaurants. The tables were a little cramped for the 4 of us. As for the food, we had Dahi Puri and Chatpata Sev Puri. Both were very tasty, the puri's were of the pani puri type (puffed). For mains, we had the Malai Chicken tikka, the Prawn Goan Curry, the Lamb biryani and the raita. Except for the tikka all dishes were very flavorful and really one of the best we have had in a long time. The Malai tikka was a bit of a disappointment, as there were big chunks of chicken breast pieces which were bland, the gravy was good but no marination had seeped into the chicken. Smaller pieces of chicken marinated for a longer time would have made the dish more flavorful. Overall the restaurant was very good with excellent service and good food. I would highly recommend it.
We shared one appetizer and four different dishes, all of them very good. Service was very good as well. We will return to this restaurant.
