Good quality dim sum on Main St. This is a long standing and established restaurant in the city. Come early to get seating and street parking. Service can be slow sometimes but it's a busy place so what can you expect.

Great experience! Recently we had our mom's milestone birthday celebration and we were very pleased with the tasty beautifully presented entrees, responsive managers prior to and at the banquet evening . We received from our guests favourable comments that matched our own experience as a family and mom left very happy. We definitely recommend others to consider booking a banquet with Sun Sui Wah Restaurant in Vancouver.

They serve the best dimsun and quality Cantonese cuisine. We had a set menu with plenty of leftovers

Delicious lunch with all of our favorites.
We went on a Saturday at 1 o’clock, and it was perfect, as the morning rush had left, and there was no wait.

Very poor service!
We are going to attend the elders' birthday party, and the man responsible for changing the tableware for us (a middle-aged man with a tuft of hair on his head) had an unfriendly attitude throughout the whole process.
Friends at the same table only want him to take away the plates and tea cups, as if he doesn't understand and doesn't want to.
Then he took the tableware and threw it into the nearby waste basket.
Everyone was surprised by his action.
My husband is chatting with the elders next to him, sitting sideways.
He actually rudely asked my husband to put his legs away, which is inconvenient for him to put his bowl. Do all customers owe him money? Or did family conflicts make him unhappy?
In any case, the service industry must have a sense of service and at least possess the necessary qualities.
If you don't have this sense of service, go home and rest!
By the way... many dishes have light flavors, so it's not recommended to come specifically for dining.

Excellent as it has been for decades. The tapioca pudding itself is worth 5/5 stars
Great quality Dim Sum, with tonnes of sea food. Huge menu with daily specials (one per table).
You select from menu which is an order form that you tick boxes on.
Dishes fall into multiple different price categories.
Many great seafood dishes.
Boisterous atmosphere with many tables.

Solid Chinese classics and banquet food. They have private rooms you can book for events as well. Each dish was tasty. The dishes that shined more than others were the honey garlic spareribs, ginger scallion lobster, the crispy soy sauce chicken, and the baked tapioca. The steamed fish was average and a bit tough. The noodles and fried rice were standard. The presentation of the dishes were nice. Overall a great Chinese food dining experience.

Restaurantji Recommends
An established restaurant with pretty good food — great for family gatherings. The roasted pigeon needs to be ordered in advance.

They throw their garbage over the railing, so dangerous and unsanitary
Enjoyed an exceptional dinner at this restaurant. Ordered the 2 course Peking duck dish. Very tasty - crispy duck skin with light pancakes; and the lettuce wrap dish included the duck meat along with crunchy water chestnuts. We also ordered seafood chow mein with extra vegetables. This was nicely seasoned (not overly salty - which is what we like). The atmosphere was relaxing and not noisy. We could have a nice conversation. In addition service was excellent and staff were very attentive. Highly recommend dining here for high quality Chinese cuisine.

We dined as a group of 17 and got the set menu for 10 which was excellent. However, despite having reserved a tapioca pudding two days ahead and being told it wouldn’t be a problem, we were told as we began our dinner that they would be unable to serve us tapioca pudding. We were there to celebrate a birthday and had ordered the tapioca pudding as an alternative to the birthday cake, so we had to do without a birthday cake - very disappointing despite the well made and well presented food. We talked to multiple staff and no one could rectify the situation.
Over priced for dim sum. Service is quite bad, you have to ask for something 3x before they bring it. There are better options imo.
