Sura is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in downtown. I hardly go to one of them because it’s usually not as good as real Korean foods, but Sura is really good. I usually bring international friends to introduce Korean cuision. I like this place.

Very very bad experience, and literally the first time I experience something like this in Vancouver. Me and my friends got there at around 9:00. But at around 9:45 we were asked to eat faster because they said they are closing soon. But we were only half way through eating……. And we rushed to finish the food, and during the time, a Korean lady came up and asked 3 times saying “Sorry, we are closing soon.” And then start taking away all the plates before we even finish eating. And it’s weird that the light on top of us are going on and off, I assume they are closing it on purpose to make us leave the restaurant.I know it’s almost time for them to close, but I felt disrespect kept being asked to leave before finish eating. And I think it would be nice for them to tell us beforehand if they are unable to service us for more than 1 hour. Then we wouldn’t choose to eat in this restaurant.

I got the bulgogi bibimbap, and spicy sliced pork which came with extra sides which was nice. The meat was flavourful and very good. I enjoyed the fresh veggies in the bibimbap.

Kudos to Sura for their customer service. We ordered through Uber Eats and 2 items were missing. Despite showing the recipient and what was delivered, Uber Eats refused to fix the issue. We contacted the restaurant and it was confirmed that our pork galbi and pickles were missing from our order. The manager Jiwon sent the hostess who originally packaged our order to personally re-deliver our missing items. She delivered and apologized with sincerity. They even gave us 2 drinks and rices along with the delivery. Really appreciate the efforts Sura took to make things right.
Love their lunch special. Great food, good vibe, and excellent prices.
