Best priced for such excellent quality fish. This is my fav hole in the wall sushi place in Vancouver. I almost don't want to review it so it doesn't blow up, but they've been around for years. I took my wife on our first date there over 7 years ago! We went back before their temporary vacation about a month ago. DELIVERED yet again. Yum.

Definitely a bang for your buck! You can tell that they serve fresh food here. We ordered and enjoyed their Tuna & Wild Sockeye Salmon,Alaska Roll, BC with Avocado Roll, and Shiro House Roll! Will definitely be back to try their other selections. Oh and make sure to call first for reservation since they're almost always packed!

Hole-in-the-wall sushi restaurant in Vancouver!Sushi by Yuji is in extremely high demand. Very limited seating and only by reservation in advance, usually. The sushi here is the real deal - hand-picked fish selections by someone who clearly knows what they’re doing and values quality ingredients for their customers. Every dish we tried here was top notch - extremely fresh and very tasty. The variety was especially well-appreciated and the fish alone was bursting in flavor. Unbelievable sushi and some of the best I’ve ever had!If you’re in Vancouver looking for the best sushi in town, this might just be it!Vegetarian options: Picked vegetable dishes available.
The tea is super good. I think the price is not that worth it and everything is just basic. My friend says the wasabi's great. Have to try at least once! it's a nice sushi place.

The way this restaurant operates completely defeats the purpose of a restaurant. Unfortunately I was rejected to be seated when there were empty seats. The employee made dishonest statement that they have reservation coming when there wasn’t.

The omakase today included 3 types of bluefin, shima-aji, modal, uni. Great value, no frills. Get the sake tasting. Great spot!
Call & make your reservation now! My partner and I were visiting from Toronto and we are so happy we got to stop by Sushi by Yuji. We got the assorted sashimi, scallop with ginger roll, negitoro with egg, ikura with egg, o-toro and salmon nigiri, uni and shiro roll. Everything was amazing!!! My favourite was the otoro nigiri and negitoro with egg. Super creamy and delicious. Only one chef making sushi which made it even more special. It’s a small space but very much worth it.

We all know Vancouver is a sushi paradise. Well, I stumbled upon this spot that looks pretty unassuming from the outside but trust me, it's a whole different story once you dig in. It's hands down the best sushi experience I've had in the city. The appetizers and rolls can be had the classic way, but do try the unique, creative, and oh-so-delicious options too. They've got this way of putting together flavors that just hits the spot every single time. And I'm not even a big fish person, but the fish here? Unreal. It's so fresh, I bet it was swimming around earlier that day. What's even more surprising is the price. For the quality you're getting, you'd expect to pay a lot more. But the prices here are super reasonable.I'm definitely coming back, no doubt about it. If you're in Vancouver and looking for some top-notch sushi you've gotta check this place out. Easily worth it!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at one of Vancouver's most delightful sushi restaurants. Upon calling to secure a reservation, I was pleasantly surprised to snag a spot on the same day. Despite the limited seating and cozy ambiance, the restaurant emitted a warm, homey vibe, complemented by the outstanding food offerings. The staff, including both servers and the sushi chef, were exceptionally kind, ensuring that my green tea and water were consistently replenished. Noteworthy was the inclusion of two distinct types of wasabi, a rarity in Vancouver. Opting for the Tuna Taku Roll, Chūtoro nigiri, Otoro nigiri, and uni nigiri, I was treated to an exceptional culinary experience. Without a doubt, I would gladly return for the superb food. A solid 10/10 recommendation! This place is quite pricey but the quality makes it worth every penny. For two people, we spent about $100.
