We discovered this place before they went omakase only and have been back twice. Each meal was served with care and perfection.

We had an amazing experience at Sushi Jin! It was my boyfriend’s birthday today, and we made a reservation in advance for their omakase. Both the chef and his wife were incredibly warm and friendly, which made the evening even more special. The ingredients were super fresh, and everything tasted delicious. We especially loved their wasabi and homemade ginger — such a nice touch! It was also a pleasure to watch the chef carefully prepare each dish — truly a beautiful and enjoyable experience. Since they only serve six guests at a time, it’s really quiet and private, which made it feel even more special. Highly recommend!

The sushi was super clean and fresh, and it literally melted in my mouth! There was no fishy aftertaste at all, which I really appreciated.
You can tell they really care about giving the best experience to people who make a reservation — that’s what makes omakase so special.
They even gave us tips on how to enjoy the sushi better, which made it even more fun. Thank you! 🥰

My first experience at this restaurant. The food quality is very good, atmosphere is normal nothing fancy but the service(his wife) was bad. She’s very cheap when asking for refill on tea and gingers and she’s give me that dirty looks and they charge you automatically 18% tips. At the end it’s NOT worth $370 per person.

My boyfriend and I came for my birthday meal in 2024 and we still rank our experience here as the highest we’ve ever been. Sushi Jin set the bar, WAY HIGH. We can’t wait to be back one day.

Sushi is fresh and good, but for the $360 / person price point, the service needs to be better and as is is holding the place back: the hostess is, in particular, rude and arrogant. We informed the server of an allergy and their attitude was “take it or leave it” rather than trying to accommodate their customers. We eventually got a substitution but that experience definitely left a sour taste in our mouths.

The service and quality were both excellent! I went there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. It was a wonderful memory and experience. The chef was very professional and it was fun to chat with him!
best in Canada!

We had the pleasure of experiencing an extraordinary 19-course meal at Sushi Jin, and it was nothing short of perfection. Every single dish was top-notch, showcasing the absolute best quality and freshest ingredients. From start to finish, it was a 3-hour journey of remarkable flavors and innovative presentations that left us in awe. The attention to detail and the care taken in every dish made the experience unforgettable. A huge thank you to Sushi Jin for such impeccable service and for making our evening truly special. A must go when in Vancouver.
Chef Jin is very meticulous in detail. A true hidden gem.
Best omakase in Vancouver! Luxury ingredients!
unsure why this place gets the hype it does, we paid about 350~ a head for the basic bare minimum. ive been to many omakase's and would say this one is the least enjoyable. personally it felt like a family owned sushi joint that just marked up their places really high price because they can and call it omakase.
the food was extremely basic and was extremely hungry after. we went on valentines day and the service took 2.5 hours total.
atmosphere, like i said, felt like a family joint trying their best. there was even rust on the metal steeper of our tea pot.
I ended up going home and making instant noodles and egg afterwards.
I was saying to my significant other, the real value of the food and experience was closer to 70$ a head and thats being generous.
Awesome! Chef Jin and his wife deliver a beautiful experience
