I used to love this place. The food is always good. But I ordered on door dash hoping to get my favourite roll of all time “paradise roll”. They unfortunately do not have the full menu listed on door dash. So I ordered something else.
I called the restaurant. I waited on hold for about 10 minutes. Two people couldn’t understand what I was requesting. Finally someone was able to answer my request if they could add the salad dressing on the side (the one featured in the paradise roll). I even offered to pay extra for it. They said no problem and it would be in my door dash order.
When the food arrived, the miso soup was cold, and Ofcourse there was no salad dressing on the side. I hate giving them a bad review, but I’m disappointed in the service and in the lack lustre effort on their part.

I’ve found this place to be inconsistent. Got takeaway rolls that were rolled so sloppily. Thin rice, packed up tightly together made it impossible to separate the rolls without ripping the sushi to pieces. The imitation crab also tasted sour.

I’ve been ordering the tofu teriyaki (with sauce on the side) for months and it’s always been consistently great—crispy, light, and not oily. However, starting last week, the tofu has been coming out soggy and soaked in oil ( see attached photos for reference).
I’ve had to use paper towels to soak up the oil and even broil it myself at home just to make it edible.
I won’t be ordering again until this issue is resolved
Update: I tried them again. Only once was the tofu crispy. All other times the tofu has been soggy and disgusting and the rice has been burnt. Do not order from here

I ordered miso soup and spicy tuna roll. Spicy tuna roll was, okay not that great. Some weird sauce on top of it. Not really good. Fresh Sushi on Expo Blvd has better classic rolls.
Don't get me wrong, this place in general is amazing and their other rolls are amazing. I love this place. Just today, not feeling fancy enough to try their special rolls.

Had never tried before because it always looked so busy, but my friend brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was excellent, service was great and all around highly recommend
They’re lucky that they have good chefs Their servers are getting worse and worse each year If you go close to the closing time, they do everything to kick you out. We were still eating around 9:45 and they brought the bill🙄

I’ve only ever had take out but it has always been amazing! This is my go to spot, the rice is perfectly seasoned and the rolls are nice and tight! Travels well and always arrives in a nice presentation. Every time we walk past it’s busy so that says a lot!

Went for a date here. He's vegetarian, I'm not and they had so many good vegetarian options. I had the salmon teriyaki with potatoes, BC roll, and agadashi tofu. We also had vegetable tempura and sake. All the food was beautifully plated and I'll definitely be back.
