This is a nice place with comfy chairs outside, and the food and prices for pastries is reasonable but, I hesitate to return because the service is so bad. They only have one person working the front counter at a time, even with a long line. Two different staff people that I’ve encountered have only one speed, which is SLOW. For instance, after making some coffees, the girl decided to clean up the station before handing over the cups to the customer. One time the drip coffee ran out, and the guy just stood there watching it brew, while he could have been finishing the food order, or seeing if he could help other people in line. Ridiculous!

I came here on valentines day to get my valentine her cake. They had one called the bleeding heart. It's in the shape of a small heart and when you cut into it, it bleeds a jelly filling. That was so cool lol. I should've played the keep bleeding love song LOL. I also suggest you try the creme brule here... Really gooooood....and there's a heated patio outside for you dog owners like me. They'll be happy to bring you a bowl of water.

I tried the Triple Chocolate Mousse. It was very good. The appearance of the Mousse was nice, it is noticeable that the texture and layers of it were thoughtfully made, and its flavour was very good. The atmosphere inside the Cake Shop is relaxing, although the cutlery could be a bit more thoroughly clean. Nonetheless, the Cake Shop itself is very nice, and the atmosphere welcoming.

I see this place when I get the bus from UBC campus. I have a sweet t👀th! Also like trying new places. Ordered the individual size white chocolate raspberry mousse. It has natural, fresh raspberries in it. Melts on your palette. Matcha tea latte is a sheer delight. Was truly surprised when I started drinking it. Lovely, relaxing vibes.

This is a nice and cozy neighborhood cafe. We ordered the Cubano Sandwich, Machiatto and Matcha and enjoyed it at their lounge seats outside. They have a wide selection of cakes and pastries.
Nice cake and coffee shop in neighborhood setting. Many delicious pastries and treats, it's hard to decide! Highly recommend.

Sweet obsession is a wonderful go to local coffee and pastry shop in Arbutus area. I highly recommend this wonderful place! Their coffee and pastries are always so delicious! The atmosphere is so cozy and the staff are amazing! They also have outside space to sit and eat. The service is excellent! I always look forward to going. Everytime I go Nishantpreet and Pavneet are so kind, helpful and attentive, making sure their customers are happy and well taken care of. Thank you for always providing a great experience!
