Went here maybe a month ago. Finally found the time to leave a review.
Small portions is the name of the game here. For appis, I ordered the bone marrow. For $40 I couldn't even fill a spoon with the amount they served.
The main was more of the same. I ordered duck and it was one of the smallest duck legs I've ever seen.
If you eat here, plan on spending $100+/person and leaving hungry. Talk about bs portion sizes.

Service: Big shout out to our French server, Kai. His three cocktail recommendations for pairing our first and second courses were spot on and his service throughout our 2 hour stay was attentive and personable. He also changed our plates and cutlery few times. You'll be happy to be served by him.
Food:
Oysters (West coast and East coast mix) fresh and clean.
Kampachi Crudo: well prepared and because it was sashimi level fresh, the kampachi was very enjoyable
Steak tartare: modern twist and well made and goes especially well with large potato chips instead of crostini.
Demi baguette with porcini mushroom butter: warm and had a nice chew. The porcini mushroom butter made the difference.
Cowboy bone-in ribeye steak: definitely enough for 3 adults to share. Perfectly medium rare. It came with salad and frites. The salad had a light vinaigrette with sliced sun-dried tomatoes and thinly sliced shallots. Very nice and not wilted. The frites were perfectly crispy and warm throughout dinner. We ordered a bottle of 2021 Chateau Pesquie Quintessence. Our server Kai's attentiveness took care of the pouring at the right level in the glass which is at the wine glass widest point and not over.
Dessert: Excellent recommendation by the manager - a glass of Sauternes and a glass of Rivesaltes to pair with a slice of chestnut buche de Noel cake topped with liqueur whole cherries. And finally, a shot of Dubonnet each for the three of us.
Final: It was our first time dining at Tableau French bistro. A definite recommend and we will definitely return to enjoy the other items on their menu.

Our brunch at Tableau was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we stepped in, Paris went above and beyond to accommodate our request for a bigger table, ensuring we felt completely taken care of. Their attentiveness set the tone for a fantastic experience.
Once seated, Natsuki and Judy took over and provided such warm, attentive service throughout our entire meal. They were friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed.
The food and atmosphere were delightful, but it was truly the staff’s outstanding care that made our visit memorable. We highly recommend dining at Tableau and will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

before even opening my mouth, a sparkling water in a bottle was served. I was actually very happy about this--complimentary sparkling water?
unfortunately, even though I didnt order this sparkling water, they charged me $9 without my consent for this.
ontop of this, my dish, which was marked as $50 was instead charged for $60
although the money itself doesn't bother me, the fact that they the audacity to trick their clients like this greatly disappoints me--I didn't mention any of this then, as I was with important company.
horribly upset.

I just had the worst dinning experience with a missing server. We had to ask other waitresses for water when our waiter was never around. We first waited 10-15 mins after our cake to grab our bill, had to ask a passing by waitress once again. The waitress probably forgot but I don’t blame her, we then waited for another 15-20 mins for another waitress to pass by. After a good 35mins+ our missing waiter finally came back with a bill. He deserved nothing from the 18% tip with this service. The food was good tho.

I have been to Maxine twice and Homer Street Cafe multiple times but my first time Tableau Bar Bistro and I was extremely impressed! The food was much higher in quality in comparison to the two sister restaurants! Our server also added to our positive dining experience, very sincere and friendly!

Food is okay. Not very impressed with the French onion soup and Le Burger but enjoyed the Foie Gras.

Steak tartar was good but bc the chips are so heavily herbed/spiced it overwhelmed the flavour I was searching for of the steak. Their crisp is nice, but the texture of the oil it’s cooked in also takes away. I’d prefer a quickly toasted bread with a slightly softer middle or a plain cracker.
French onion soup was amazing as always. The mushroom toast with egg was fantastic.
