Update to my review: Their Google Maps hours says they were open at the time I called, contradictory to the response to my review.Must have called about 10x in a row on an early Monday evening to place an order for pickup — with zero answers. Lost my business before you could even get it!

When me and my daughter first entered we were warmly greeted by the lady that was serving and cooking. She took are order immediatly and it was quite busy but she still made our food really fast. The food was delicious we ordered the tortas of milanesa , beef and we also ordered the al pastor tacos and the lengua the food was warm and it was a great portions of delicious mexican food. The food was made by mexicans with experience in cuisine . We will come back again we definetly recommend.
Delicious! We tried this small place for the first time today. The menu is very meat-oriented but the owner was happy to make me a veggie burrito, and it was so so flavourful. Probably the best-seasoned and tastiest burrito I've had. My date loved the tacos. We'll definitely be coming backVegetarian options: I asked to have some of the lovely veggie taco fillings in a burrito instead, and they were happy to do this

Tacos are tastey and good but more attention required to order..NO ONIONS MEANS NO ONIONS! Also hand washing after handling cash is a MUST thx..all else good. :)

Go-to authentic style Mexican place in Vancouver. Pork belly taco is my favourite, but I have tried lots and they’re all pretty good. Everything is pretty authentic including the feel of the place inside. They’re very friendly and the prices are fair! I’ll keep coming back.

I got a tostada and tortilla soup and both items were excellent! Authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu!

We’ve been going to Tachingón from the day they opened, and I have to say, it might be one of the most best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to, at least in Vancouver! We highly recommend the Pescado, the Pork Belly, and the Carnitas tacos, although the tacos are a little on the pricier side. I will definitely be coming back!Edit Feb 2024: Since my original review, the price of a burrito has gone up from $16.75 to $20 after tax. In addition to this, they taped up the prices with green tape so you don’t know how much you’re paying until you order your food. It’s too bad because the food itself is delicious, but I wish they were more honest with their pricing.

I don’t like that the same grill is used for seafood, vegetarian options, and meat. That’s not how a restaurant should function in my opinion. I was also overcharged on my last visit and don’t appreciate that. Will not be coming back.
