The buffalo cauliflower taco was delicious. Two tacos are plenty enough for a satisfying meal. The location was a bit noisy when we were there but the atmosphere is fun and casual.

Super hit and miss. The lack of consistency is frustrating. I was particularly put off at this location upon placing my order when I asked for my burrito to be cut in half so I could share with my boyfriend. The person taking our order actually told us this isn’t usually possible due to covid-19, and would have to make a special request to kitchen staff. This just doesn’t make any sense to me. When we received our order, we were very underwhelmed. No flavor, and absolutely no sign of the guac we paid extra for. Really disappointing!

Quality has slowly slipped since Tacofino spread into Vancouver. It was a good run 🏃‍♂️

We’re regulars at the Tacofino Mount Pleasant location and have always loved it, but our experience at the Hastings Street restaurant was really disappointing. My wife ordered the fried chicken taco and I had the fried chicken burrito bowl — both were mostly batter with barely any chicken, and neither tasted fresh. It’s a shame, because we came in expecting the same quality and flavour we usually enjoy at Tacofino. Definitely not up to their usual standard.

This is by far the worst Tacofino. Have given it multiple tries but every single time the burritos are absolutely terrible. Somehow this location manages to serve a super veg burrito that is cold and soggy like it was soaked in water as part of the cooking process. Ive tried the crispy chicken also, which usually consists of mostly overcooked batter that is too hard to even chew with hardly any actual chicken in it. This place should not be allowed to operate under the Tacofino brand. What a disgrace.

For some reason, the food at this Tacofino has been very disappointing. I love other locations, but this one has served me lukewarm burritos and dry chicken. The burritos are also somehow much smaller at this location. Not worth it.

Not sure why this place doesn’t have higher reviews. It’s absolutely amazing. The food is so great. Can’t find better tacos in the city.

I had an unfortunate experience with this restaurant today. I placed a large take out order for pickup, and since it was a large order (dinner for 8), I figured I'd give them extra time, and I placed the order several hours in advance with a scheduled pickup time at 6:15 pm. It seems they didn't notice that the order was for pickup later, as when I got there, the order was completely cold and wilted. The quacamole had turned brown. The 'crispy' tacos were not crisp, and had not even a hint of warmth left. I'm quite certain the food had been sitting there for at least an hour or two before I picked it up. When I called to complain, I was told that it was made fresh just before pickup, but that's just not possible given how badly the food had cooled and wilted. I have always enjoyed tacofino, but this experience has completely soured me on this location. Do not order in advance for scheduled pickup, they do not respect the scheduled time. When I called, the manager was apologetic and did offer to remake the order, but I would have had to wait and go back to pick it up again, and I had a house full of hungry guests. It was an incredibly disappointing meal, especially as it cost $250.00. Never again for me, and be warned that they will not follow instructions to delay an order for later pickup, even though their ordering site allows you to schedule for later.

Based on a colleague’s recommendation, I had to try the fish taco. I was not disappointed. Definitely recommend. Next time I will also try the cauliflower taco, as it is also recommended.

The quality of the food has gone way down. My family used to love coming to tacofino as a treat for many years, but the last couple of visits left us wondering if the fact that they opened so many locations have affected the quality and integrity of their food. Sadly we will no longer be returning.

This is not my favourite taco place. The food was barely warm, which is surprising since it was not busy and we ate in the restaurant. The kids' cheese quesadilla was gross. I wouldn't recommend.
