Hands down the best tacos I’ve had in the area… a bit pricey… but they’re worth the splurge!
I frequent Tacofino Commissary often and they never disappoint. I’ll swing by for a couple of tacos for lunch or order pickup in the evening for family dinner. Been a customer over 50 times and the food is consistently fresh and delicious!
Very well priced menu items. For less than $10 you can get a massive taco. A small cost more and you can have a burrito that is so filling that you’ll want to lay down after eating. Less than $10 for a well rounded kid’s meal? Unheard of these days. Also, check out the daily specials and happy hour deals! Happy hours daily from 3-6 :)

The food is always ridiculously good. Highly recommend going on Mondays for their discounted plant-based burritos. We always get the Vegan Crispy Chick'n burrito and it's so tasty. Hard to beat for 12$!

This is my least favorite, Tacofino, location… I hope that management changes some things soon. I hate the cafeteria style order and pay, when I know there’s an expectation to tip… But for what? No services provided, and the little interaction you have with servers are usually quite cold.
Someone mentioned the chicken burritos and tacos being mostly batter and very little meat… Experience that today. I’ve been really disappointed with any of the burritos, it’s just mostly rice.
I absolutely love, Tacofino… But this location is bringing down the standard. Hope management will change that.

Used to be so much better. Not sure what happened to the business. But at the same point and time, it’s not bad, just not great.

I’m changing my 1-star review to 5 stars after visiting in person. OMG. what a great and lovely staff. I was wrong, and I’m sorry.
I’ve been back four times now. The food, service, and atmosphere are phenomenal. Thank you, and please forgive me ❤️

Popular Tacofino location with bold, well-seasoned flavors and a relaxed, casual vibe. The burrito-to-bowl option is a very good choice, especially if you want something lighter or easier to eat. The crispy chicken burrito and steak burrito were both very tasty, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. It can get busy during peak times, but the food is consistently worth it.

Fish tacos were served room temp and the restaurant is dead and not busy. How does that happen: Happy hour tacos are not at all good. Margaritas good! So a meh experience!!

Gastown Tacofino used to be my go to!! I was craving a crispy chicken burrito and I am quite disappointed in the size decrease. $20 for a burrito 2/3 the size that’s mostly rice

The buffalo cauliflower taco was delicious. Two tacos are plenty enough for a satisfying meal. The location was a bit noisy when we were there but the atmosphere is fun and casual.

Super hit and miss. The lack of consistency is frustrating. I was particularly put off at this location upon placing my order when I asked for my burrito to be cut in half so I could share with my boyfriend. The person taking our order actually told us this isn’t usually possible due to covid-19, and would have to make a special request to kitchen staff. This just doesn’t make any sense to me. When we received our order, we were very underwhelmed. No flavor, and absolutely no sign of the guac we paid extra for. Really disappointing!
Quality has slowly slipped since Tacofino spread into Vancouver. It was a good run 🏃♂️

We’re regulars at the Tacofino Mount Pleasant location and have always loved it, but our experience at the Hastings Street restaurant was really disappointing. My wife ordered the fried chicken taco and I had the fried chicken burrito bowl — both were mostly batter with barely any chicken, and neither tasted fresh. It’s a shame, because we came in expecting the same quality and flavour we usually enjoy at Tacofino. Definitely not up to their usual standard.

This is by far the worst Tacofino. Have given it multiple tries but every single time the burritos are absolutely terrible. Somehow this location manages to serve a super veg burrito that is cold and soggy like it was soaked in water as part of the cooking process. Ive tried the crispy chicken also, which usually consists of mostly overcooked batter that is too hard to even chew with hardly any actual chicken in it. This place should not be allowed to operate under the Tacofino brand. What a disgrace.
