Staff wearing a white skirt today always been rude towards inquiries related the store

Just finished the meal. It was not clear if I was to sit and order or order first at the register. The servers were not clear and wasn’t really welcoming. I had to pay and even tipped thinking they would give full service - which I did not get, and this was before the meal so my amount did not accurately reflect the service.

I went out of my way to come to this location because I really enjoyed it years ago. The tables were sticky, servers did not check in on me other than to take the plates, the washroom was so dark I couldn’t see if I had cilantro stuck in my teeth.

The tacos were good, but the pork taco was quite dry (I had to add tomato from other tacos for it not to get stuck in my throat and teeth). And before, their tuna taco had torched raw tuna but this time, it was all cooked but luckily not to the point of canned tuna. It was disappointing after coming in with high expectations.

The food is always good ... when you get what you ordered. Our last two takeout orders had mistakes in them (this last time was the wrong taco, and I checked the receipt and it was correct).

And tall people need to watch out for the lighting hanging from the ceiling.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The rice was undercooked and hard, On top of that, the food was excessively oily, leaving a greasy aftertaste. It felt like quality and care were completely missing from the kitchen. Definitely not returning or recommending.

The crispy chicken burrito was amazing, it is kind of big so you’ll definitely end up satisfied!

Tacofino Commissary is a must-visit for taco lovers in Vancouver. The fish tacos are crispy and flavorful, and the yam tacos offer a delicious vegetarian option. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make dining here a pleasure. While prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality of ingredients and unique flavors justify the cost. Definitely worth checking out!

the crispy chicken burrito is super lovely. pricing is on the higher side though, and it's definitely more of a contemporary mexican as opposed to traditional

This is a review solely of this location - the food at Tacofino I enjoy and don’t have anything negative to say.

This location has a funny table/counter service hybrid method which leads to a bit of under service but just enough to blur the tip expectations. Enough to feel like you’re supposed to, but not enough to actually merit it.
Did not appreciate being told that 2 people were not allowed to take a four top table because they needed it for the lunch rush and then having a party of 2 sat at the same table when they walked in 5 minutes later. Will pick another location based on service.

Stopped in and tried the cauliflower taco. The taco was horrible, and the staff was rude! I won't be visiting again

Definitely more of a Lunch Counter-Style Dining Experience, but the Food was Excellent - super fresh and flavourful.

I ordered the crispy chicken burrito to take home and turns out they forgot a key ingredient that makes the burrito, the spiced rice. I even paid for extra protein and it was the same amount as chicken as a normal burrito. I was very disappointed. I called to see if they would be able to give me a credit for my next order and was basically dismissed. They told me to send an email, and I never heard back.

Doesn’t seem like they care. Tacofino has become a chainlike restaurant that doesn’t value quality nor making things right with their customers.

I will not be returning to any of their establishments in the future.

I don’t know what happened to tacofino, but the food has taken a major dive.

Tacos are overloaded and massive - you can’t actually eat them as a taco. Chicken karagge is flavourless, and there was an absurd amount of pickled vegetables on the chicken and carnitas tacos. Carnitas also lacking flavour and the taco was misshapen and soggy.

So disappointing - I’ve loved this restaurant group for a long time - I hope they turn it around!

Great vegan options.

Does that mean we're eating Tacofino too often when my 5 year old has started to draw your trucks? Be it what it is, we love your burritos!
