It is a family run business and they have 3 locations so far. Speaking to one of the owners, I found out that the Strathcona location is considered their main location as they have more ingredients and different varieties there. Just a heads up in case you wanted to try a bigger variety of food items :)
We got the crispy chicken tacos-- which was probably my favourite! The chicken was so perfectly crisp on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The sauce worked so perfectly well.
The quesatacos were so delicious. It's the perfect twist if you like quesadillas but love tacos, and is just a tiny bit indecisive! I got the carnitas and I love how it wasn't too overly salty but had just enough flavour. I find a lot of carnita tacos I get are a bit dry, but this one was very pleasant to the mouth.
Lastly, we got the ribeye carne asada tacos! This one was more or less similar to other asada tacos we get at other restaurants, but it's always a staple! It was stuffed with toppings and we enjoyed every bite.
At the strath location, they're a commissary kitchen and you can pick up at the pick up window. If you're lucky, there are one or two benches you can eat at. Strathcona Park is nearby and it's perfect for a picnic on a sunny day.
Service was also great! Everyone there was super kind and attentive.
I cannot wait to come back and is looking forward to our next visit :) I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did!!

Got the Crispy Chicken Taco and Ribeye Carne asada tacos.
Let me tell you, the portion was huge! The first bite for each was marvelous.
Never had tacos before, but I’ll definitely come back.

Ordered the pollo a las brasas for pickup.
Punchy spice and really terrific layered flavours and textures. The chicken was well barbecued but not dry.
The corn tortilla base was a bit soggy with sauce after bringing it home, but that's probably inevitable for a pick up meal. Knife and fork and plate necessary, would have been too messy to eat by hand.
Order was ready within a few minutes of the estimated time.
Portion was medium size, not too big, not too small for a simple dinner. For $10 a great value.
All-in a satisfying meal I look forward to getting again.

Absolutely insane trying to get to this place, but the TACO! Gonna say it: best shrimp taco I've ever had.
Have been a regular customer for some time now. We love their tacos, namely fish, calamari, and prawn.

There was a bandaid in my burrito, found it half way in, will never ever return. Staffing is hard I get it, but this is way past ok.

Tacomio Strathcona is a staple in our diet. I love the fish burrito (no rice, Xtra veg) but my partner LOVES the Quesa Birria tacos. Like I think she might harm me if we don't go at least once a month. Someone please send help (jk abuse is not cool or funny, she just REALLY loves her tacos)
