The service was horrible. My wife and I was asked to order our food right after we sat at the table. We asked for a few mins to go over the menu as that was our first time there. The waitress came back in 2-3 mins, we told her politely we need a little more time. Then she never showed up! Maybe 15-20 mins later we had to call a waiter to take our order. The food was OK, but no one ever stop by to check if we needed more water or anything. After we finished, we hoped someone would bring us the bill. But we were totally ignored. I even tried to eye contact the waitress several times but she pretended she didn't see us. After a long wait, at less 15 mins, I walked to a waiter asking for our check, then he came over to our table. I complained that my waster glass was empty but nobody cared about that. And he pointed to my wife's glass and said that was water. I'm stunned, are you kidding me?When dining at restaurants, the customers not only want to taste good foods but also want to enjoy the experience of friendly services.Sorry I have to give it a single star resting.

I dined in this restaurant for morning tea, their dim sum is good, have a lot of choices, for me the most important part is hot and fresh which they did it.Their staff are nice and friendly, they will give recommendations when being asked. For me, the only negative comment is, they do not accept credit cards, they only accept cash and debit cards.

This restaurant was completely unprofessional. On Mother's Day, we went out for dinner to this restaurant and looked forward to it. We've gone to this place for dimsum, and it was decent. But not this experience. When it was time for us to order, the waiter pushed us to order their "special menu" and when we declined this individual shamefully harrassed us to order their seafood items and their soup items. Probably because they were the more expensive items so that they could get more gratuity, our table couldn't order any of those items due to food allergies. In the waiter's own passive aggressive approach, the kitchen deliberately came late with the items. No apologies offered, of course. A number of items were cold and the food was not even great tasting at all. The squab tasted like it was microwaved dry and the sweet and sour chicken tasted grossly stuck together on the plate with the sauce that didn't taste at all like sweet and sour. To top off the evening, the same waiter who took care of our table decided to punish us by not coming to our table to give us our bill and so we were basically caught waiting until the last table in the entire restaurant cleared out. It's an old microaggression that restaurants play when they aren't happy with a particular customer. Another waiter finally came by to take our payment when she realized that it was getting late and it was cleanup time. We were so disappointed by this hostility, all because we didn't order what the restaurant probably wanted on Mother's Day. We had a two-year-old old child who really needed to go home after 9.00pm for bedtime. But we were held hostage basically with a missing waiter. When we went up to the counter, we were told to go back as the waiter was going to come to our table with the bill. If the food were actually good that day, I'd leave a higher rating, but unfortunately, I can't do that. It wasn't anything that was worth talking about. I think it was deliberate as we were not the high rollers that day who shelled out the money for the "special menu." Seeing that the restaurant was half-empty on Mother's Day is probably indication that the standards of this place have fallen quite a bit since the pandemic. It's a sign of desperation when staff cajoles customers to pay for more, and then penalizes them when they don't. It's a serious red flag that it's near the end of a good run of a restaurant's shelf life. Its counterpart, the Dai Tung on Kingsway was similar near its end as well, with shoddy waiters and hostile manners to customers. Please go to another restaurant if you can. There are so many out there, especially on Granville Street. As a paying customer, you should deserve better.

We are regulars for the Kingsway location but since they were closed due to redevelopment, our family been craving their specialty chicken a lot. This was our first time dining and possibly last time unfortunately. Staffs were very friendly but was super slow and inattentive. They blamed short staffed. We wanted to try more dishes but the waiter/manager suggested to order less. What kind of business don’t want you to order more food? Strangely, they kept questioning if we could finish the food when we wanted to add a few bowl of rice. Don’t question. It’s money! The specialty chicken was definitely rushed and cold bath immediately after cooking which caused the skin to not be crispy. Its just not the same anymore.

Surprisingly happy with everythingWent there for Chinese new years dinner with friends and the 'wor choi' where you get to choose dishes for a set price was such a great deal. We ended up doing 2 x 4 person set with 10 people and had two crabs. Ended up being $50/pp

90% of foods are good and the heater is too strong inside.

Good food, although the waiters will spill water on you in a heartbeat.

Their seafood hot and sour soup is delicious! So full of mushroom, shrimp, fish, and tofu! We also go the salt and chili squid tentacles and those were amazing. Definitely coming back here for both! The staff and place is a little no frills but the food was fresh, hot and delicious!

My family's new go-to Chinese food restaurant. It's the same restaurant as the one that's temporarily closed on Kingsway. Note, it's closed on Wednesday, so come on the other days! They also do banquet set menus if you need it.

Arrived for a late lunch. Getting in had a slight wait as they wanted to give us a table in the line of wind blowing in when the door opened. Didn't say anything at first as they didn't have another table that was not a 4 seater (smaller table, didn't want that as we'll order many dishes) or larger table (which they likely won't give us). Finally a table of the right size left so we asked to be moved there.By the time all people arrived, it was probably after 2pm and so the kitchen was probably winding down as after we ordered, nothing came out for what felt like at least half an hour.Luckily, it seems they did not forget about us and the food came out one after another. We all could agree that it was worth the wait as the food was so good! The Glutinous Fried Rice was my favorite as other places do not have this flavour and texture. I have only said this once about Fisherman Terrace's dish, but that was one time a long time ago. Not since then until this dish have I enjoyed Glutinous Fried Rice. Later I found myself really sleepy and dry mouthed, so probably that means I'm raving about MSG here. All the other dishes were still good, rivalling larger, more expensive dim sum restaurants in the area. The Xiao Long Bao (forgot to take a shot of that), I would pass on that as that's probably not their dim sum. Not bad tasting, but you can see it's not their specialty when compared to northern Chinese restaurants.Parking is mostly on Granville or the residential streets. The small lot in the rear is hardly enough for customer parking.I would go back again as they are usually not so bad about the wait for the food if we come before lunch rush or closer to 1pm. We came too late this time so although most will say this is not excusable, but it is what it is.

Food was really good and came out at a timely manner, however the service was horrible. Forgot to bring us tea, never got my chilli sauce, and getting them to replenish the teapot was quite the challenge. But I guess when the food tastes this good, they can afford to have subpar service. Highly recommend the steamed sweet salted egg yolk bun.
