Been toTake Out Shack 5 times now. Everytime it had been great. Delicious tasting smash burgers, very friendly staff and also good value. Going to fill out there stamp card in no time. Great for take out and also some tables for dine in.

Absolutely lovely staff, but the crispy chicken burger was mostly batter.
I asked for another and it came out with almost more batter. It literally made me laugh how little chicken was in the burger.
If you LOVE batter, this is the place. If you love chicken, avoid.

I really hope vancouver isnt sleeping on this spot like it does everything good. This is a proper fast food shack with reasonably priced, absolutely delicious food and some good shakes too. Its open air in the summer and worth grabbing lunch at year-round. Please keep this place in business for a long time lol 🙏

10/14 Update: Menu has changed and it's no longer the crinkle-cut fries, these skinny regular fries got overly salty which isn't great... Burger is good, but doesn't feel special anymore, overall seasoning lacked and burger is lukewarm. Also, does the combo not come with drink anymore? Staff at cashier seems lost, nor did the other staff notice when bringing up my order... No biggie but if fountain soda is not included anymore, should take it out from the menu. Sadly I won't consider coming back with this recent experience. (Food 3 star, Service 4 star, Atmosphere same)
09/23 Walked by and came in for a quick bite, got the double bacon cheeseburger with combo. Burger is very nice, made to order, old school no fuss street style burger. Tasty and hot, seasoned well, but the bun is small and got soggy halfway, so that's something to work on. Fries are crinkle-cut and not overly salted which is quite good, but could fry them a bit longer (~20 sec), to have some crispy edges. Decent place for the price point. (Food 5 star, Service 5 star, Atmosphere 5 star)
