Great tasting food while it's fresh. Unfortunately the onigiri takeout didn't turn out as good after sitting in the wrapping for a few hours. Texture was not the same as the fresh ones.

Came without a reservation but was ok to wait. Was told it was approximately be an hour. 1 hour and 15 mins had passed and another waitress came over to tell me it’s going to be another hour of wait because all tables are reserved. I had a 3 months old baby and toddler with me…terrible terrible time management. If they cannot management walk ins they shouldn’t have accepted us on the waitlist. Never going back without a reso next time.

My friend got uni ramen, and there was no uni in the ramen. We asked server, she said sorry we don't have uni for today. We think you are supposed to tell the customer when they order, otherwise we paid the same amount and we couldn't get what we want. If you tell in advance, then we can choose another option.

Food quality adequate but not exceptional. Value is okay, not bad. Onigiri seems to be their feature item, but to me, it's merely toppings on a rice cake. Don't really know how else to describe it.

Food is excellent. The onigiri is delicious & miso soup is insanely good. For those of us that LOVE Japan, Takenaka gives you a little taste of the flavours we miss from our travels abroad.
Their ordering system needs work to speed things along. Although the staff are super friendly and helpful, there seems to be confusion with the orders and what they have in stock.
