Delicious Japanese food. Uni wagyu was really good and the ramen was rich and creamy.

Fantastic little restaurant tucked away in a mostly industrial area. The place is clean and the decor has a cool industrial look. I ordered the Obanzai set and it was great value.

Their staffs have ZERO knowledge how to arrange seats. We waited for 90 minutes while empty tables are all around and they said need to wait for another group that comes in half an hour.
Been here a total of three times now, incredibly disappointed with the latest visit. We were told there was a wait, even though there was clearly an unreserved table, we waited for 25 minutes just to be seated at said table. We were seated and not given menus, we poured our own water (in our past visits the servers were incredibly friendly with introducing the menu and specials). We were asked to change seats and obliged, the menus at the new table we switched to were promptly taken away. We were not greeted, the cashier was rude and seemed upset at us ordering, customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. We were then given the wrong order (another table's karaage) and got no apology whatsoever for their mistake, we were given that food on the house but with terrible attitude "if you want it". Both of my onigiris were falling apart before I had touched them. My friend ordered one of the specials - wasabi beef onigiri - and it had little to no filling for double the price of similar onigiris.

One of the best japanese places I have been to. Whenever I’m in Vancouver, I make sure to eat here. I cannot get enough with their food. This place is always pretty packed so you might wanna come here early!

The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and breakfast is reasonably priced at just $13. Unlimited miso soup refills are a nice touch. The service meets the high standards you'd expect in Japan. Plenty of parking is available, and there was no lineup when I visited before 11 a.m.

This is my all time fav Japanese restaurant. Their onigiris are on another level and I would really recommend their chicken karaage as well. If you had the chance to only visit one restaurant when you're in Vancouver, 10/10 would recommend Takenaka!

I love their drinks here especially the hojicha latte. My favourite onigiri filling here is the sour plum. I think their onigiris are a good size and two is usually enough for me to be a meal.

The food was delicious. With the set, one can get refill of miso soup and the onigiri. The set is filing. The dishes that come in the set are amazingly tasty and different from other restaurants around. There's a variety of fish eggs, and the service is superb. The ambience is just tranquil. Once you enter the restaurant, it feels like being in Japan.
Parking: Parking is hard to come by in front of the restaurant as it is in an industrial area. However, one can still find parking around the neighborhood.
