Hands down the best ramen I have had in the greater vancouver area. It was fresh, and light and made me feel delicious, warm, and healthy. Their onigiri are HUGE although mainly rice the anount of flavours you can try is vast, and each one that ive tried has been delicious. I would say the pricing is quite expensive if you are eating a meal here but the ramen dinner combos definitely filled us up to the point we couldnt even finish the broth! Also their hojicha quality is def something to note, the taste is immaculate and it was very light and frothy 😋. Also the service is all at the till, you order and pay at the till and then they will bring the dishes to you. Will definitely be coming back!

Do not get their matcha latte, it was like 80% milk 20% matcha!
Otherwise the earl grey Takenaka was pretty good
And the onigiri was really good, the rest of the lunch set was alright! Next time id only get their onigiri:)

I visited this unassuming, cozy Japanese spot in the middle of an industrial area for lunch yesterday. We had resos with OpenTable for our group of four and were seated immediately. As someone with nut and seafood allergies, I learned they don't have nuts in their kitchen. I ordered the Meatball Curry and Rice which was flavorful, hearty comfort food with a good portion size. You order at the bar and the staff brings the food to your table. It’s a lovely space to catch up with friends over a meal.
Went for a late lunch. Tried their onigiri lunch set. Decent amount of food for the price. I was served with a variety of well prepared food that satisfied my pallet. Onigiri with unagi and soft yolk was excellent. Love the texture and flavor of the yolk. The braised porked was savory good. Though I wish the meat was more tender or sliced instead of cubed. Their miso soup is probably the best I've had in BC. Staff were courteous and provided awesome service.

My favorite and most frequented onigiri restaurant in Vancouver. Consider yourself lucky if you're served by the girl with the flashy hair, fire onigiri and an attitude to match. 👌🤘

This place is overhyped.
The worst service you can expect from Japanese restaurant and the food wasn't even worth the trouble. We ordered the special limited menu and the food was just ok and everything taste a bit too much on salty side.
Chicken Karaage was not fresh, not even hot, on our plates.
What is worse than the food is that we were struggling to be seated here. The first time we came in last month, half of the tables were empty with Reserved signs and we waited 30 minutes to see none walk-in people got seated. The staff seems not to even try to find table for you.
Today, we gave them another chance and got the same experiences, there was a table without Reserved sign, but the staff only tell us to wait. We had to ask and the staff said the table would only be empty for only 1 hour as they have a reservation in the next hour. Which we feel like he could at least offer and tried. While talking to him, another table became empty as the customers left. The staff saw and didn't say anything. Again, I had to ask if we can be seated at that table, where he responded 'We will clean it for you'. Then walked away without saying anything or walking us to the table.
After we ordered the food, and walked back to our table, another staff was going to seat other guess at our table. She saw us and asked if we order our food yet and have we been assigned to that table.
Clearly the first staff wasn't coordinating with the team for our table at all.
The whole experience feel like I am begging to get a chance to eat here. If it wasn't for my wife who want to try this place, I would just walk out of the place, no doubt.
And after we finished the food, it was clear for us that this place is a 🙂↔️ 🙂↔️.

Excellent customer service and great food. There's a woman with flashy hair who's always making rice balls, and she is super friendly and helpful! Recommend.

Food quality and portions for the lunch special set are always very good, at a great price considering the type of ingredients normally included. This is somewhere I always try to take people to when they’re visiting Vancouver, also good for dates.

The onigiri here are really tasty and feel authentic — fresh, flavorful, and nicely made. I really enjoyed the food overall. The only downsides are that it’s a bit pricey and located in a somewhat random spot, but it’s still worth a visit if you’re craving good Japanese food!
