I ordered a box of shrimp dumplings and a box of pork ribs to go, which the shrimp dumplings are undercooked! I circled it out in the picture!

This place presents an authentic chinese experience and the service is amazing. I would recommend the Mapo Tofu because it created a whole new section of flavor for my taste buds.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant since it reopened this year. The service was good, but the dishes were very mediocre and overpriced. The double cooked pork was basically all fat and the flavor was very very ordinary; this dish costed $38.95 which was really worth $15.The wok fried rice noodle seriously lacked wok hei and was the worst I’ve ever had. The shrimp dumplings and steamed beef with rice powder were a pleasant surprise. Overall, I won't be coming back for a second time; I would rather drive to Richmond where there are more better restaurants of this type to choose from.

Oh my goodness, the food was wonderful at this restaurant. This was a luxurious and elegant presentation. Not a place to pop in for a super quick bite, more for a leisurely evening. What a treat!

I absolutely loved the food there. They had a variety of different types of food depending on what chinese cuisine you like. I had the Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin and oh my I can say it melts in your mouth, the flavor is amazing. As well as the Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple, I loved it so much finished the plate very fast. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a chinese cuisine. They have lots and lots of great options.

Food was ok. Some dishes were too salty, some were quite bland. Prices of the food were more on the expensive side. Service was mediocre and when I was tipping said that I tipped too little, and the manager said that they needed to rely on tips for a living. Me personally, I wouldn’t beg for tips like that.

If you are planning to come here, I would spend the extra money on gas to head into Richmond for a more well rounded experience in both food and service. And no snobby behaviour from the manager while paying.

Extremely salty food and poor service. When we complained, the servers said the chef tried it and thought it was “normal.” The stir-fried veggies were just rinsed in water and sent back soggy. We asked for beef recommendations and were pushed toward the most expensive dish — the $128 beef with chili oil, which was not worth it at all. Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Won’t be returning.

I miss the old Tao’s kitchen. Undercooked prawn dumplings. They even overcharged me at the end and claimed they pressed the wrong button. Will not come back

Fabulous food. Friendly service. Enormous family sized portions. We ordered 3 dishes between 2 of us and it was enough food for 4 people. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Visited Tao Tao Ju (formerly Tao's Kitchen) in June. It's a rather unassuming spot from the outside but the interior isn't bad).

Ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls ($9.95) and was a bit surprised that it was basically a shrimp wrapped in wonton wrapper. It was a bit basic but the rest of the food we ordered got better and better as we continued. The Zhong Dumplings ($16.95) were quite smooth on the outside. I was kind of surprised that the chili oil was not very spicy.

The Soup Dumplings ($12.95) or xlb were pretty good. Nice amount of soup in each. The Sweet Mantou Mini Buns ($9.95) had both steamed and deep fried buns with condensed milk.

The Pork and Shrimp Dumplings ($9.95) or siu mai were on the small side and seemed to be mainly shrimp.

The best dish was the Hometown Vermicelli ($28.95).

DO NOT GO! Owner is very rude and loud, they always sit beside your table and makes it very uncomfortable. The food we got also was most likely expired or day old.

I ordered the Half Roasted Duck, but they served us Half Goose instead. What should have cost around $28 based on the menu ended up being $78. Either they weren’t paying attention or they were being dishonest. It was such a disappointing experience, especially since we were hosting friends.

Overpriced for the taste. Gave them a try because there aren't much restaurants in this area. Food is like 5/10 from a Chinese. Service is the worst ever. There wasn't a single checkin nor basic acknowledgement after guest leaving. Would not recommend this place. The old owner retired now this place is run by some snobbish people.
