This place has an amazing atmosphere! I had the opportunity to enjoy dinner here on a sunny day, making the most of the early patio season. Bringing our dog along was an added bonus. The menu offered fantastic choices for both food and drinks. The service, particularly from Liam K, was 10/10 - he was kind, attentive, and accommodating. This is definitely a must-try spot in Vancouver.

Found hair in my food and I was done. Waitress didn't even apologize. Nasty. Never coming back.

Beautiful setting, right on the water. Great selection of draft beer, great chef prepared food.

I had mixed feelings about the experience. The pizza we ordered was disappointing as it was overly salty, leaving much to be desired in terms of flavor balance. However, the truffle mushrooms mac and cheese was a delightful surprise, offering a rich and satisfying taste that left me wanting more and I really suggest it to vegetarians. Additionally, the BC tree fruit cider was a standout beverage choice, boasting a delicious blend of flavors that perfectly complemented the meal. Overall, while the pizza fell short, the standout dishes and refreshing cider made for a memorable dining experience.

3/17/2024It's a great place right on the water. Our server was very nice and helpful. It was busy so a couple items were lost in the shuffle so it took a while to get our wines. The fish and chips are really good but have a very rich flavor. It was a wonderful day for eating outside on the porch. The whole market area is full of energy on the weekend, very enjoyable.

Ate here in the first sunny spring weekend in 2024. Be sure to make a reservation. To keep things light I shared the Tuna Poke bowl - yum!! Came back another time for Happy hour and had a flight of beer with a margarita pizza. There’s a lovely patio if you go after 3:30, you’ll be nice and warm in the sun!

My visit to Tap and Barrel on Granville Island Saturday, March 16th was made memorable by Steven, who was serving us on his first day with the guidance of Jacomina. Steven's approach to customer service was refreshingly genuine and delightful; his sweet demeanor and evident care for his role shone through with every interaction. Despite coming from a hockey rink background, he adapted to the bustling atmosphere of Tap and Barrel with admirable ease, proving that the establishment has a keen eye for hiring authentic people. The mussels and fries were a particular highlight – so delicious that I couldn't help but inhale them! It's the combination of fantastic food and service like Steven's that ensures my anticipation for the next visit. Keep up the great work, Steven – your authenticity is a rare find in the industry!

Food was ok, felt like it could had been better. Chicken wings didn't have much meat, fish was a bit over cooked, felt bit mushy and price could be better. Service was great and great seating

The only possibly negative thing I can say about the place is that the ambiance is quite noisy. Otherwise the food was delicious and our server was really nice and helpful. I especially recommend the gyoza appetizer and the wild mushroom pizza which was just fabulous!

Take a break from walking around Granville Island and enjoy food with a view.Fish & Chips @ $22.95The beer battered cod fish lacked the desired flakiness, with the batter being overfried. The fries and coleslaw were average, with the overall dish leaving more to be desired.Seafood Chowder @ $14.95Warm and hearty soup packed with corn, carrots, and potatoes. However, the soup could’ve been a tad thicker and lacked the seafood flavor profile. Top an additional $6.95 for 2 pieces of garlic bread which didn’t quite elevate the dish.✉️ follow me @BrieVco on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube for more!
