Ordered a Thai Green Curry on DoorDash and there was no mention of there being shrimp paste in the dish. I am vegetarian, and was very disappointed to have had this experience. I was only made aware of this being in the curry when I went to order it in person and was alerted of the shrimp paste. I wish restaurants would indicate what dishes are vegetarian more clearly and also provide more options for vegan/vegetarians.

I would give them negative stars if that were an option. After waiting 37 minutes for our food (which we were told would take 20 minutes), we received our order, but it was completely wrong and of usual quality. When we called to complain, they fought us, saying we were wrong. We are customers who come regularly and order vegan pad thai. I have ordered this so many times before. It is always made the same, regular pad thai, but no shrimp and no egg. However, today they made it with mushrooms, celery, broccoli and carrots. I called them to let them know how different it was, hoping they could correct it and make a new one or get a refund. Instead, they chose to spend the time arguing with me that that's what I wanted, and next time I have to say no mushrooms, celery, broccoli and carrots. It was also extremely watery. Their food can be excellent, but it is inconsistent, and when there is a problem, instead of recognizing it, they argue and try to blame the customer, it's just so frustrating. I find their behaviour extremely unprofessional and very rude.

I WAS a regular customer of Thai Basil for a number of years; however, the last time I ordered take out via Uber Eats, I realized there was a missing item (Tom Yum soup), when I returned home. I immediately called to ask if they will either refund the cost of the item or what options they have. The lady said she will check and call me back. FORTY minutes goes by and she calls and tells me that they checked the security footage and confirmed they gave me the soup. It was strange as she sounded hesitant with her response. At that point, I was quite upset as I paid $60+ for my order to find out they messed up and for them to call me to passively accuse me I received it. Upon further discussion, she admitted they may have given the soup to another party and that they will call Uber to let them know and that I should also call Uber for a refund. This response just was totally unacceptable. For a $12.50 item and a mistake on their end, I asked that they should take accountability and I was surprised they would expect me to pursue the refund be processed. The lady agreed and said she would call me and let me know the outcome but I was quite skeptical. Of course now.. a few days later, still no refund on my credit card, no call back from Thai Basil ...and yes., a lost customer to Thai Basil for the indefinite future. Though their prices are cheap, their portions have been shrinking and there is less and less meat so I guess the timing is right to cut tied and they are no longer worth my business.

Specifcally asked for a recommendation for a dish that had no spice. Was assured the curry was very mild. It was not!! So damn hot I could not eat it. If the person working there doesnt know about the food they should not be taking orders.
Never having curry there again.

I found a curly short hair in my cashew chicken combo when I had my lunch with coworkers... You cannot persuade me that it's not pubic hair... You know how disgusted and shocked I am?

They can make any dish vegan! Ive tries their lunch vegan special with garlic sauce and the eggplant and rice and both were fantastic! The vegan pad thai was alright not for me but I know is very popular.
Portion size is perfect 👌 im not overbudened with left overs and never left hungry. Also $7.99 for lunch is unbelievably cheap almost fast food prices but really good quality food packed with fresh veggies.

This place has the most flavorful vegan and gluten free options. Thank you Thai Basil for making such amazing thai vegan food 🙏

Received a large green curry with rotten Japanese eggplant in it. Haven’t had that experience here before but I won’t be coming back soon as there was no way to receive a replacement, and wasn’t offered store credit.

I have been to this location twice and another location a few times with no issues. Today, the price and beverage left a bad taste in my mouth. It is unclear that when you order a curry or any other entree, that you'd have to pay $2.50 extra for rice. When the total seemed high after I paid (and that it was in fact higher than the combo they had, which included rice and salad/spring roll,, I asked why.
The waitress then explained that the entree I ordered was a full size, and that the combo (which is also available for dinner) would be be smaller.
I would have zero issues with this if only this difference was made clear.
I studied the menu overhead again and no where was it listed that rice would cost another $2.50.

Thai iced tea: it is hard for a Thai restaurant to mess this one up but when mine came very sweet and milky with no tea tastenwhatsoever, I asked the waitress if she could simply add more tea (to dilute the sweetness), she said that was not possible because they had a recipe and had to boil hot water, etc to make the tea. I had to simply throw out nearly the whole drink and left.
All in all, the $21+ dinner left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have loved and supported this restaurant at all their locations over the years , BUT tonight was absolutely disappointing
I am super duper sick so I order through skip , normally I would have just picked up my food directly - but my issue is they sent the food improperly packaged , NOT secured !! so whom ever is running the food could TAMPER with it ! . They really should changed the way they send the food off - as a result it’s going in the garbage !! As you cannot trust that people aren’t spitting or worse or dunking body parts in your food ! COMPLETELY UNSAFE send ing food via a third party packaged like that

Won’t order take out from their EVER again

Pad Thai BKK is rice noodle ( 3/4 cm wide) stir fried with pork, deep fried tofu ( 3/4cm × 1 inch), a little bit fried eggs, in tamarind sauce, topped with tiger prawns & cilantro, raw sprouts & crushed peanuts on the side. This rice noodle is a delicious, but the tiger prawns is not my expect no taste. I will be back and try the curry.
