Highly overpriced and average food. The broth was a joke. It was just water, so bad. I expected some seasoning or meat broth. Each item is sold separately and things that are usually all you can eat were priced like 6-7 $ per side. We had to eat a pizza after this because we spent 50$ between the two of us, and I just didn't feel the place deserved anything more. There are so many and muh better hotpot places out there like LiuyiShou. Oh and did I mention, they played the same music on repeat, so bad.

The lamb and beef were both fresh and delicious. I dare say it's one of the best tasting lamb I've ever had. The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Decor was beautiful. Price was fair for the quality. I look forward to visiting again in the future!

Soooo good! Ingredients are super fresh and high quality. The pastries are to die for and a perfect pair with the hotpot! Left feeling full but not too heavy. Our server was also so nice and attentive. I always love coming here for a good meal!

??????
It was my first time to taste the legendary traditional Beijing hot pot. It was my first time to taste the refreshing spicy soup base. The meat and seafood were very fresh and delicious, including the leek box and door nail meat pie. After eating and drinking, I ordered brown sugar seed cake and taro. Sweet potato balls, durian balls, fried milk, all of them are delicious? The sour plum soup is also super delicious! Finally, I would like to thank the boss for his enthusiastic service. It is a good store worth visiting??

Too expensive and the portion is too small. 2 of us spent $130 for 4 meats, and we barely get full. The meat was ok. We were the only table there on a Sunday evening.

I love the mutton from Huangcheng Gener the most. I miss it every once in a while. I always order the half cloud and lamb brain. Today's waiter Janice was gentle and enthusiastic. Because we came at the right time, she recommended breakfast to us. Everything we ordered was very good, including wonton stew, sugar pancakes, millet and pumpkin porridge, soy milk... I had breakfast and dinner today, and I was really satisfied! ?

When I was in a bad mood, I went to eat at a good friend’s shop with Azheng. There were many lanterns hanging in the shop. It was very atmospheric. The mahjong toppings tasted very good. The cucumbers were crunchy and sweet and sour. Fat Sheep The fat beef is fresh, the Sanyang Kaitai Samsara ⭕ is awesome, the black fish slices are tender and fresh, and the tripe is also crunchy?. The boss lady also gave me a box of leeks. It was a very satisfying experience and it instantly healed the injured. The heart is exactly what the store said, the smell of fireworks in the world is the most soothing to the human heart! ???I wish the boss a prosperous business!

recently visited The Corner Hotpot and was delighted by their traditional Beijing style lamb hotpot, 北京涮肉. The lamb was fresh, tender, and thinly sliced, cooking perfectly in the broth. Their specially made dipping sauce, a blend of savory and umami flavors, complemented the lamb beautifully.

The restaurant's ambiance, reminiscent of traditional Beijing, and the attentive staff added to the overall experience. For an authentic and delicious hotpot experience, The Corner Hotpot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

This review will come from the perspective of having only experienced hot pot once prior. We came as a group for a special occasion. At dinner hour, there was only one other table occupied but they sat us side by side. It was hard to hear each other speak as the larger group was having a grand time at full volume. It is difficult to ask to move once the broth is poured but it was really hard to enjoy conversation being in such close range and they had the entire restaurant to work with when seating us (which we didn’t know originally). Only two broth choices really and one is extremely spicy - most of us couldn’t eat food in that one - and we did ask for guidance but the server spoke limited English. Mild broth was more hot water and needed more flavour. Some sort of sauce was served and server was challenged to communicate what it was when asked. Other condiments were available on a table in the middle of the restaurant sort of like a buffet. Again, we weren’t clear on this process and the sesame sauce served just overpowered the food. As inexperienced hot pot people we needed help but server unable to do that. Even when we asked and it was obvious that we were novice. We had to ask for upper air vent to be turned on as our party was covered in the cooking steam - they seemed surprised we asked but we literally couldn’t see each other. Food was okay. Seemed fresh. Really liked the seafood, vegetables and dumplings. The balls I wouldn’t recommend. Only one bathroom that we waited to use for a long time. Thank goodness there were only 8 people in restaurant as this could have been worse. Overall, my group didn’t feel the vibe and may have been turned off hot pot for ever. The food was just okay. I will probably stick to the other place I have been to in Burnaby as they seemed more welcoming to learners of the hot pot cuisine and their experience more on par when I am spending money dining out. Tons of lamb on this menu so maybe better for those seeking lamb. I would challenge the high rating in this spot.
