As someone born and raised in Korea, Corner Kitchen makes authentic Korean food that actually tastes like something you’d get in Korea. Absolutely love everything on their menu. Highly recommend!

I got a beef bulgogi bowl and it was so salty it damn near gave me a heart attack. Barely edible. On the plus side, they now hold the record for the saltiest food I've ever tried. Maybe they did something wrong when they made my food? There's no way it's supposed to be this salty... I won't be giving them a second chance

Reliable for simple and satisfying homestyle Korean food. Nothing blows me away but everything is good and flavourful. The meals all include lots of vegetables which I appreciate, and things aren't overly oily.There's no atmosphere to speak of and I think they probably have more takeout than dine-in customers, but having done both, dine-in is the way to go, because the food comes out super fresh. The people who work there are nice and hardworking.

(Trying everything at UBC journal #3)I've been coming to this hidden Korean spot on campus since first year. Korean food is something I missed from home and the OC dining hall "bibimbap" was not cutting it, so I was desperate to try this place on campus. This place is strange to me, as there's some dishes that absolutely hit and some that taste good but don't taste very authentic. For example, I was very excited to try the jjajjangmien here, but was disappointed. While it tasted fine, it didn't have the authentic flavour I was expecting. However, there's a reason that I still come here to this day, as the tteokbokki and fried chicken are so good. I feel they get the flavour and spice in the tteokbokki just right while coming in a good portion for the price (~$11). The fried chicken isn't like the most authentic tasting, however it's close enough and just tastes so good nonetheless. And also the inari is quite good, however it hasn't been on the menu in a while.. I also really like the interior and the music they play, it brings a very cozy vibe, especially when it gets darker out. This place is a little on the pricy side, but what isn't here at UBC? All in all, don't come in expecting to be transported straight to Korea with it's food, but it definitely does the job and is a nice spot to sit down and relax. Would come again!(fosho)7.6/10
