Quality of the chirashi don dropped severely since the last time I ordered it for takeout a couple months ago. My bowl last night was full of sashimi that looked like it had been sitting out on the counter for hours, and the variety of fish dropped in quantity, too. Where there was previously octopus and aji, last night there was none. The tamago had suspicious looking black marks on it that looked like it could have been mold!! Not only that, but neither the salmon nor tuna actually tasted like that should — very bland and literally tasteless for what should be simple, delicious fish.I tossed most of the food after attempting to eat half of it. I guess that’s what I fer for not ordering from an authentic Japanese restaurant, but I’m quite disappointed with the poor quality of the food.

Such a cool vibe, gluten free options as well! The food overall was cool but it was nothing to die for. Still had a great time and it’s such a fun place to eat at!

Excellent option! The food is very good. Excellent flavor and good portions. The service is very attentive. Plus, the food is delivered very quickly. On a very personal note, I think that the menu has an excessive amount of options, which makes it very difficult to choose. Also, the atmosphere is more like a bar, with loud music, which makes conversation a little difficult. These non-positive points (in my personal opinion) are definitely offset by the quality of the food and service.I will definitely return.

Waitress could have used a bit of improvement, and it was really loud, but the food was surprisingly good.

Popped in here on a Friday night after a concert at the Hollywood. Sushi rolls were out of this world. I don't generally eat the raw fish (I know, I know) but we ordered the pressed seared salmon sushi and it was so so good. Our order came so fast, it was unreal. We were only having a few rolls but we were in and out in 20 min. Decor is funky and eclectic and you won't want for something to look at. Only took one star away from atmosphere because it was very very loud so it was hard to have a conversation but I know a lot of people won't mind this. Definitely would go back. Don't expect cheap sushi though, each roll is at least $10 and they aren't necessarily large, but this isn't your average sushi.

Fun and eclectic atmosphere with an expansive menu. Service seemed superficial and impersonal, and prices for some drinks were excessively expensive; $12 (without tax) for a single vodka soda? They forgot one of the dishes I ordered yet still charged for it without offering an apology. I left fairly underwhelmed and the meal itself was sub-par. I'd say try it out; it's a unique place and an interesting vibe, but don't go in with high expectations.

I had an amazing experience at here! The sushi was exceptionally delicious, with a wide variety of fresh and flavorful options. However, the only downside was that my order took a bit longer than expected to arrive. Nonetheless, the quality of the sushi definitely made up for the wait

I've had the chance to dine at the eatery twice now, and it's truly been a unique and enjoyable experience, especially for newcomers. The food is distinct and fun, but it's the vibrant atmosphere that truly stands out. However, I do feel that this restaurant is best suited for occasional visits when you're in the mood to explore something different. If you're looking for a fusion sushi joint, this is the place to be.

The Eatery is a graduate stage of learning about sushi! Whatever you know about normal rolls, just through them out and order these items: Volcano, Tex mex, fat Elvis, and finally Mars attack for dessert with miso soup. If you don’t drive, order their large cocktails and get buzzed as well. Thank me later. I love you Eatery. Fun atmosphere - black lights, neon signs, toys strung up on the walls, super artsy/unlike any other restaurant experience. Tons of rolls and other items to choose from (noodles, appies, etc). My favourites are the Panama roll (banana tempura, cream cheese, avo, hot sauce), Buddha roll and roll du solei. Lots of cool drink options as well. The owner is a super personable, great guy. A must try if you haven't already!

Been coming here for many, many years! The gyozas can’t be beat… in fact, all the sushi is just awesome! Yummy Yam roll is one of my favourites, the platters offer a great mix up of deliciousness if you can't make up your mind.
