I am a huge fan of chicken burgers and this is definitely one of the best I’ve had in the city. My friend got the vegetarian burger and loved it. Don’t skip out of the molten chocolate lava cake for dessert. 10/10
My partner and I have been to The Ellis in Kits a few times now, and it never disappoints. Our go-to order is the chicken wings with the delicious gorgonzola dip. We were recently there for Game 1 of the Jays’ World Series, and our server Meghan was so attentive and friendly. This place has easily become one of our favourite spots in the city.

These sliders were genuinely insulting.
Came here to celebrate with friends, and ordered the sliders thinking it'd be a small meal -- but I was honestly shocked when the sliders arrived. You can see in the photo how big the fries are compared to the sliders; there's no way that this should be worth $24 anywhere. This isn't even three bites of a burger.
Everything else looked and tasted amazing, especially the spicy maple kale salad with salmon added on. I know this because all of my friends felt bad at how pathetic-looking my order came out.
We ordered the brussels sprouts too, which tasted great and I would recommend. However, I'm sad to say that the individual brussels sprouts were larger than each slider I had.
The service was great and the staff were extremely nice, but I can't overlook just how terrible these sliders were. I honestly feel disrespected by this. A lot of the food was very tasty, but this one dish has left a bad taste in my mouth.

We ordered bread for appetizers but it tasted like it came from the freezer and was just warmed up. Beer selection slightly weak not much light option Chicken wings was really good very good portion. The salmon entre was ok. Salmon itself was tiny and overcooked and salty. The carrot pure was very delicious. Slightly slow service

Honestly, we chose this restaurant as 2 others in the area were too full and we were too hungry to wait! So glad we did though! Had the Ellis Burger, Veggie Burger and Butternut squash ravioli. All were excellent! The side salad that came with the burger was probably the most delicious side salad we've ever had!
The only reason I gave 4 for service is that it was unusual. Every one of the waitstaff was engaging and super friendly, but it was a feast or famine type situation. We didn't get served right away but then once we did we had 3 of them coming back all the time. Then at the end had to hail them down to order dessert (highly recommend the Lava cake) and also hail them down to get the check, when we clearly weren't going to order anything else. Nice not to be rushed out, but it was definitely interesting.
It was still a great experience with a bustling atmosphere, some good laughs with the waitstaff and delicious food!! Highly recommend!

We checked out The Ellis yesterday, which has just reopened under new management. They’ve made some nice upgrades to the design. Nice vibe ! They have a great selection of cocktails, tap beer, and food. It was all delicious, and all at a fair price. The staff are delightful and engaging. I look forward to returning soon.
