Amazing Cod Tacos. Super flavorful. Cod was cooked perfectly. Relaxed atmosphere.
Great food, good portions and the father and son were very friendly and personable.
Friendly staff and the food was really fresh. The slaw had the perfect acidity to Blanca the fresh fish. Had gluten free options!
Delicious! Fast service.
This might be top 3 fish and chips I have ever had real talk. The tartar sauce is also extremely powerful, but maybe I'm just a huge dill enjoyer
Good fish and chips, friendly staff
They have gluten free fish and chips. It's fantastic!
This will be my second review in about 8 years. My first experience was outstanding. This was horrible. Been waiting 8 years to come back and the fish was extra greasy and lacked any love of flavor. Fries tastes fresh and was the best thing from the kitchen. I just don't know what happened!
Great seafood, friendly staff. No notes!

After reading the reviews, we just had to try it. We got the cod fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips and the clam chowder. My favorite was definitely the halibut fish, it’s juicy and crispy; the best fish and chips i’ve had. The cod fish wasn’t the best I wouldn’t order it again. Over all i would definitely recommend this place for a weekday lunch/dinner.

Before I begin this review I want to say that I felt angry, frustrated with most of the other reviews of this establishment.
While many reviews give the fish counter 5 stars, I feel that most fail to acknowledge its true glory. The most recent review to have truly venerated this place to the degree it deserves is by Anne Middleton- I recommend reading her review if you have the time.
This is the greatest fish and chips I have ever had, and likely will ever have. Not much else needs to be said. Kaspische? We have to respect the Fish Counter. It just feels like a moral imperative to me.
My partner says, “it cuts through the noise of all of life’s daily struggles”
That also just leads me to this thought… the Fish Counter itself does not try to be anything that it’s not. It cuts through the noise of pretension, and ego. It’s not only a delicious and impressive experience, but it’s a deep and profound lesson to us all- if we are willing to listen.
I strive to be more and more like the Fish Counter every day.
My partner: “do what you can do, do it well, and have pride”
I would add, we don’t need to do any more than is in us to do. If we do our single job well, without trying to be everything, to do everything, we will truly offer something of value to the world.

Amazing!
We drove from Langley because of the gluten free fish. We picked up and drove home. Wasn't soggy at all! Sooo much flavor! Best fish and chips I have had. And I hate most coleslaw but their coleslaw was so yummy!

We found a gem of a fish counter today. We were hungry and driving on Main Street and decided to give this fish and chip shop/fish monger a try. The counter service, Zach, was excellent, the ling cod & chips truly amazing and the bouillabaisse was delicious and a full on meal. Priced well! We’ll be back for sure. Impressed and highly recommend for a casual meal or take out.
