Very good place to eat in Yaletown. The double pork chop special was very good. If you have meat eaters, it's a good option
A negative was the vegetarian options for a friend... There was only one option, and as a mushroom heavy dish it wasn't something he enjoyed. If you have any vegetarians, consider elsewhere.
Okay, but not top
Diverse menu with excellent food, drinks, and service. We went the first time because we love their name, but I go back now knowing I'll be satisfied, even if I try a different dish each time😋
Our second time and I must say, the food is really not that great.
Good vibes, pretty good prices during happy hour. Service was good, servers were friendly and didn’t take long for drinks and food to come.
We had a lovely meal as always. It is so nice to go back to a place a year or two later and find that it is every bit as good as you remember. With the sea of mediocrity that permeates the restaurant business in Vancouver this place stands heads and shoulders above 90% of the offerings out there. You can always taste the difference that caring about what you do makes.
Thank you.
I would recommend this restaurant for any meal. Great brunch menu and desserts! Very good wines too!
I have always been very pleased with my meals (appetizers and entrées) at The Flying Pig (Yaletown location). However, I think they need to evaluate where they source their steaks. The menu stated "AAA steak," but the 10 oz New York strip I received last night was disappointing — about 8 oz of tough meat and 2 oz of end cut, connective tissue, and fat. This was actually my second steak being served to me, as the first one (which the server acknowledged) was cooked medium instead of medium-rare. The server was great and gladly replaced it. However, the replacement steak, although cooked medium-rare, was unfortunately still very tough and chewy. It felt like the kitchen might not have been too happy about making a replacement. I have no issue paying for a great meal, but perhaps I'll avoid ordering steak here in the future, as it's not primarily a steakhouse. That said, I will definitely be back at The Flying Pig (Yaletown) and will continue to recommend it overall — they usually deliver excellent food and service.
we went there for wine wednesdy and we had been there multiple times on wednesdays the recrnt wine list seems to have gotten smaller while the prices have gotten higher. potentially due to the trade war? hope the trade issue will resolve soon and there will be a better wine list food is still tasty though
We had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, there were many choices to pick: regular menu, happy hour menu and made in Canada menu. The service was outstanding, thanks Mark for the great conversation and service. Julian was great as well. Flying Pig has always been one of my faves in the area.

We visited The Flying Pig last year during a trip to Vancouver. We had great memories of the food and cocktails. This time around the food was still good but everything else was not as memorable; it took over an hour for our food to be served from the time we ordered it, and they did not have some items available. Still a good restaurant, we'll be back.
Their happy hour menu is worth it!

If you're committed to eating overpriced food in Yaletown, you're better off going to Cactus Club across the street. Steaks were vulcanized rubber and you'll get a tiny sad lop of vegetables next to all your potatoes. Speaking of veggies, try Meet next door if you want more of them. The short ribs at Tractor Foods are more tender than the ones here.
Service was great; washrooms had no paper towels and no escape without touching dirty handles. Loud music and loud people everywhere. My respects to the hardworking employees here. o7

The paella was dry, tasteless and very disappointing. Our server didn't seem to know much about the wine list.
