Loved it here, the server was SO SO SO amazing (and working alone I think) and the beer was really good and the nachos were really good too. And everything was really cheap!!!!! And also I went by myself and made a friend and everyone sitting at the bar was so nice. I’ve been here twice and i will definitely come back. FRINGE CAFE.. I LOVE YOU!!!!

I was there earlier tonight and the waitress was extremely rude, condescending, disrespectful, inconsiderate, and snotty the whole night to me and my friends. I’m sooooooo disgusted and disappointed by her. I left early cause of how disgusted and degraded I felt by her. She has short red hair and glasses. I have been a regular customer at The Fringe for over 23 years and I have never had such bad service. I will never step foot into that place again and I will tell my friends not to go there anymore. She can’t get away treating people like this. This is absolutely horrible and horrific.

bf and i loved it here! cute & cozy college bar. american tourists, your dollar will stretch a lot further here with the exchange rate. we also took advantage of the college student specials despite not being a ubc student. bartenders nice and friendly! good place to go to talk & drink

Went here with a date. Wasn’t busy because it was in the middle of the day on Remembrance Day and just had one drink each. We didn’t order food.The waitress was incredibly sweet and personable and just a delight and the atmosphere is very cosy and old school in the best way. I recommend!

If you want to have you're drink at you're table before you have enough room from the front door to the table,this is you're place.Josh is the most fantastic server/bartender I have ever metYes this is not the you're fancy Yale town or west van place to have a drink.But the " personality" and the astonishing customer service will have you smiling more then those places do.if you come here try the Jamaican " dumplings" ( I think thats what they are called)The food menu is very simple, at the same time very delicious.I recently moved to the area and couldn't be more happier with this place being around the corner from me.BTW this place is cheaper then going to the liquor store.10 stsrzzzz
Had an absolute blast for Saturday karaoke. Next time I'm back in Kits I'll be sure to hit up this hidden gem.

Depends which server you get. Love the space but my ability to relax and enjoy is ruined by a certain sever constantly and aggressively asking me if I want another drink. If I just want a drink I can buy pbr and drink at home for <$2 a beer. Once this waitress realizes this I’ll return.

The servers are super friendly and all the drinks are affordable. Their pinball machine and their weekly Trivia Night are well worth it. The NightBus stops in front of their location, so you can get home cheaply at any time of the evening or early morning without needing to take a taxi or Uber.
