We ordered a delivery of food from The Frying Irishman for an office party last week. The staff at The Frying Irishman helped out with the order for 20 people by recommending what to get and what quantities etc. The food was delivered to the office on time and it did not disappoint! We got chicken fillet rolls, chips, spice bags, battered sausages and battered mushrooms, everyone in the office was very satisfied with all of the items. My favorite item was the spice bag, it was 10/10 and I will be ordering it again! We had plenty food to feed everyone and a little bit left over that a few of us could take home for later. I should have got more photos of all the food but it didn't last too long out on the table :) Highly recommended.

Wouldn't recommend, won't hit the spot like home. Was hoping for something that tasted like Irish chips, curry sauce etc, but the food was pretty crap, potato chips aren't supposed to be al-dente lads.... Won't be ordering again!
Poor experience with online order, over 90mins late. The restaurant response below is not accurate and was changed from its original reply.
Worth noting:
-From the Doordash app I saw that the delivery person was there on time and ended up leaving due to the restaurant taking so long. -The restaurant originally said there was an event next door and in-house orders were slammed. In that case don't accept/alter your online order acceptance.

This is a true taste of Irish food! Would highly recommend to anyone in Vancouver looking for food to remind them of home. Chips were crispy perfection. My new favourite take-out!

This has got to be hands down the worst meal I’ve ever had in my entire life let alone Vancouver. I don’t understand how you could ruin something as simple as chips this bad. We got a spice bag and a curry chips. The curry chips were disgustingly cold, bland, stogy, soggy, and clumped together. I spent more time trying to pull apart the big mushy football ball of chips than actually eating it. The spice bag had TWO TINY slivers of chicken, but cost a whopping 17$ for what was essentially just chips and 2 shreds of red peppers. Are you serious? We feel completely ROBBED and disappointed. Can’t believe we drove out of our way downtown to pick this trash up. It makes sense that this place is inside a bar. Most people here are probably too drunk to realize how trashy the food actually is. Never coming back here again, I’d rather not waste my money on food that looks and tastes like absolute garbage.

These were by far the best chips I've ever tasted in Vancouver! They were thickcut, golden and crispy just like home! I also got a potato pie which was delicious. The garlic mayo was so smooth and creamy it was the perfect dipping sauce. I've found my new go to for Irish food and it's made this city feel more like home. Finally a real Irish chipper here in Canada! Keep up the great work!

I really want to like this place but its just ok. While its nice to have some real chunky chips they are inconsistent. Often they are limp and pale. I dont know what these people have against crispy chips. The spice box is good, but the battered sausages are tiny and the batter is tough and chewy, not light and crisp at all. I dont know who cooks this food but they should try before sending it out.
Edited to say that I have ALWAYS dined in and the chips were still limp and pale. Im not trying to trash this place, as I said ive enjoyed certain items.

The food here is so good. There is an A+ menu for you to try. Hats off to the cookstaff I have met so far. They include Steve, Allili and jullien. Well done!
We ordered a large order for our office St. Patricks day event & the food and service did not disappoint :)!! Steve and the team were amazing, the chicken fillet rolls & curry sauce were just like home. Everyone was very happy!

I recently dug into the breakfast roll at The Frying Irishman in Donnellan’s Irish Bar on Granville Street. It was loaded with tasty sausages, smoked rashers, crispy hash browns, and black and white pudding. Finding Irish food that satisfies my cravings for home can be a challenge. But this spot? It's a taste of home in every bite. If you're looking for some authentic Irish grub to kill those cravings, look no further—this place hits the mark ?
