I visited The Greek Yaletown for lunch and ordered the lamb with orzo. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming.
The service was slow, and although the food was okay, the portion of lamb was very small, with about a third of it being just fat — something that should’ve been trimmed before cooking. The pita bread wasn’t fresh either.
While the meal was passable, it didn’t taste like authentic Greek food, and for nearly $30 for one dish, it just didn’t feel worth it. I wouldn’t return, as there are definitely better places in the city offering more authentic flavors and better value for the same price.

One of the highlights was the outstanding service. Assistant General Manager James Edworthy went above and beyond—his professionalism, attentiveness, and customer-first attitude stood out right away. It’s clear he’s committed to creating a great experience for every guest. Our server was also incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night, striking that perfect balance of being available without ever feeling intrusive.
The lamb dish that we ordered lived up to expectations, it was tender, well-seasoned, and exactly what we were hoping for.
All in all, The Greek Yaletown continues to deliver top-tier service and delicious food. With a team like this, especially with James leading by example, it’s no surprise we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

I had a hard time deciding what to eat because there were so many unusual dishes, but everything was delicious. I was especially impressed with the simple dish of fried zucchini with yogurt sauce. It was worth the trip from Japan.

Found this gem on our walk to BC stadium. Seated quickly and our server Claudia promptly greeted us. Her friendly demeanor helped us relax into a much needed meal after a long day. Food was fresh and delicious. The vegan salvouki was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant to satisfy your Greek food craving.

the service and vibes here were wonderful. I ordered a shrimp dish, which was flavourful and tasty, but too oily for my taste. my friend ordered a lamb dish, and she also felt the sauce it came with too oily as well. I think it would have been better to order several dishes and share foods to have a better balance of flavours than to order one dish to yourself!

Everything is awesome about this place . Food is great , fresh ingredients and well cooked. design of the place is welcoming with warm and authentic ambience. There is live Dj playing for Friday and Saturday nights , we loved it as it was prefect downtempo of electronic . Great place for date night .

Our recent visit to The Greek By Anatoli - Yaletown was marred by several issues, though our server was a bright spot. Despite having a table reservation, the hostess refused to seat us near the window, claiming that table was already reserved—oddly, as OpenTable doesn't allow specific table selections. Frustratingly, the window table we requested sat empty throughout our meal and remained unoccupied when we left. After a lengthy wait, our roast lamb dish arrived cold, with the lamb dry, which made the accompanying rice unpleasantly dry as well. The roast potatoes disappointed, (tasting more like boiled potatoes) left sitting too long. Additionally, the price has increased, the roasted vegetables we enjoyed have been removed, and a Greek salad has been substituted in their place. On a positive note, our server was attentive, friendly, and professional, providing a glimmer of excellence in an otherwise lackluster experience. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues for future diners.
