My wife and I arrived early but we were greeted and seated at a lovely outdoor table. Our server Stephanie took our drink order and later food order promptly. My wife ordered the pistachio salmon and I had the top sirloin and 1/2 lobster. However, my lobster was cooked over done as I couldn’t crack the shell and broke the cracker in the process. Unfortunately, our experience at The Keg was disappointing. My dish was way too spicy, while my friend’s meal was very bland and lacked flavor. We also had issues with the service — the server rarely came by to check on us. Despite mentioning twice that we wanted a birthday cake, they still did not bring one, which was frustrating. Overall, not what we expected from a place like The Keg.
This is a great location in the heart of Yaletown. If you’re familiar with this community, it’s loud and vibrant. Parking is tight and limited. It’s the center social hub in an upscale area.
