Reached out to The Lazy Gourmet to cater for my small wedding reception and had an amazing experience with them. The entire process was easy and stress free. Menu items are clearly listed on their site with prices. They respond quickly to your enquiries and are very willing to work with you to fit your budget and your needs. The meal was delivered and set up on time. The food was amazing. Can't say enough about the beef short ribs and mashed potatoes. What a hit! Would definitely recommend and use them for future events. Thank you Jenney for all your help.

Never ordered any food from here never will last year a few months ago one of their drivers killed my cat I tried calling and they wouldn’t pick up honestly that one driver need to learn the speed limits the only thing I can say is thanks for paying for my cats ashes even tho they still out up a fight because they didn’t wanna pay ?

What they promise and what they deliver are not the same. The portion sizes were so ridiculously small that I had to order additional food at the last minute from somewhere else to accommodate for our year end function guestsNot impressed at all!

Such an easy process to use the Lazy Gourmet for our recent corporate event from start to finish. (Not that we had hundreds of mouths to feed. However, this catering service is a dream for situations where we were looking after 60+ people)I love how thoughtful and accommodating Jennifer and her team are (including but not limited to providing extra cutlery, napkins, plates, labels and easy to locate containers for our items ordered.)Will definitely use again. Definitely a 5 star service.

This is a mixed review unfortunately. We hired Lazy Gourmet for our wedding catering. I originally wrote a RAVE review and then I got our invoice… first the good… the food and the service! Talk about exceeding expectations! The food was absolutely delicious and aplenty! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. The staff including the bartender were the loveliest people and so attentive too! I couldn’t have been happier on the day! Now the not so good and a buyer beware… we were originally quoted approximately 8hrs for the staff but were told this was an estimate and we would be charged overtime if they had to stay late (no problem). When we got the invoice, we were being charged up to 15.75hrs for some of the staff (each) which resulted in us being charged time and a half and then double time. You can imagine my surprise considering staff were only on site for 11hrs. I was then told I was to pay for their travel time to and from the wedding (I was never told this, nor is it in any email or contract). I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t have hired them had I known this because it’s an hour each way and I would never have paid for 5 staff to travel 2 hours each. The wedding timeline was discussed several times before the wedding and the address of the venue was provided, so I’m not sure how the 8hr estimate was even close to appropriate. It really seemed like they lowball you to get your business. If you do hire them (which I understand because day of experience was incredible), PLEASE be sure to get everything in writing and double check their budget proposal. It took a couple of weeks of going back and forth over the invoice before they ended up charging what I thought was appropriate, which was appreciated.

We have booked The Lazy Gourmet for several cocktail & canape receptions, as well as private luncheons and dinners. Most recently, the team catered a large company reception that was centred on west coast inspired menu items. From the initial point of contact, to the incredible event execution (both delicious food and unique craft cocktails), to the personalized follow up after the conclusion of the event, we find ourselves continuing to go back to The Lazy Gourmet for every event that we host. Highly recommend working with this passionate and dedicated team that values exceptional service and uses nothing but the highest quality ingredients.
