Went to Library Square for their special Steak, lobster and fries for only $20!!! We also ordered a Candy Cane Beet and Whipped Lemon Ricotta Salad so we had a bit of vegetables. Salad was a very good size and beautiful looking. The steak and lobster was good for the price point.
We very much enjoyed the service and how the place is trying to be less corporate bar, which we both appreciate. They also have a 6oz steak and fries for $11 which we will definitely come again and try. (We saw the table in front of us order 2 orders, still making his meal cost a total of $22.)
We also had their mussels for $12. And their beer special was $5 a pint. Enjoyed the mussels. A bit tangy but it worked well with the sauce. Garlic bread was awesome. Perfect crunch to it! And lots of mussels!!
My partner loves this place. He loves the intimacy of the neighbourhood pub. We were both impressed they remembered us from our one visit...like genuinely remembered us.

Food was really bad me and my friend got food poisoning from it and it was overpriced. Service was also bad, server had no idea what anyone ordered every time she came around. The vibe is okay but feels old and rundown. Would not recommend especially for the price.

Hosted our wedding after party here and it was great! Wasn’t a super busy night so felt like a private event. Great service and they let us hire a photobooth! Was a good mix of party and chill vibes! Thank you for having us!

Went in for the $11 steak and fries Sunday special. Steak was cooked perfectly and tasty, fries were great too. Staff were friendly and prompt and filling up my drink. They have chargers for your phone which I desperately needed. Absolutely perfect!

Nothing like a perfectly spicy Caesar and a steaming hot poutine to help you forget the 5K you just ran for CIBC’s Run For The Cure. Not only was this bar conveniently located, but the service staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, and it only took one look at me for them to know exactly what I needed to warm me up on a chilly October day post-race. I’ve been here before over the years, but I’m very happy to see how much it’s evolved — for the better — from service, to menu to decor. It feels a bit brighter in here. Thank you Library Square Pub!
