Very nice pub. Staff were cordial, the place has a great vibe. I had a couple too many so memory lacking for more description but I've been before and will again. IT'S A GO THERE rating from me!

Its a dive bar with cheap drink prices, we didn't try any food after witnessing a rat scurry around in the back of the bar. We left in a hurry.

Metropole is the epitome of a dive bar in the best possible way! The atmosphere is super laid-back, with a gritty charm that makes it the perfect spot for a casual night out. Drinks are cheap, and the music selection is always on point, playing a mix of indie rock, punk, and local bands. The crowd is a fun mix of regulars and newcomers, which adds to the friendly vibe. Don’t expect anything fancy, this place is all about great conversations, affordable drinks, and no-frills fun. Perfect for anyone looking to experience an authentic dive bar in Vancouver.

A local pub with good value for money!
A good value local pub that I went into to quench my thirst while walking!
There are many expensive and cozy restaurants and bars on the streets of Gastown, but these local bars are the best for a truly local and light drink??

Well, it's cheap... But otherwise very average. The old woman who served was angry that day, the service was very bad. We asked for a dog and they gave us empty ketchup jar. The beer was the only good thing. Good price and tasty. Very bad in general...

My friends and I came in for a small reunion night out and I found this establishment so friendly and kind! Jameson was serving us drinks (Kieran was bussing glasses and Kieran was the other bartender) and their service was amazing! Even though the night was busy, his and the other employees customer service was beyond exceptional! I’ve only been here once before but I have to say, I will be coming back because of them. They are all quick on their feet and very nice. I don’t usually write Google reviews but I feel inclined to give a shout out for these three people!

The GM makes this place not worth visiting. He generalised myself and friends as "You Irish are all the same" when we hadn't even finished our first drink. We have brought this up before and it has not since been solved.

Sick spot
I rated the food 1 star out of 5, not because I ate there, but my guy, if you're eating one of them dawgs it better be to hold back puke. And you're really just rolling the dice at that point. They played Bleeding Heart by Leona Lewis so you know the vibes are right.
