Going on 17/18 years now, this is the classic East Van lounge. Dark, narrow, and with great character(s). You know it's open by the rock propping up the front door on the East 3rd Ave side (if not, check around back for the patio). The cocktails are imaginative, and the staff (TJ, Josh, and Fionn (?)) are a joy to talk to with about such things as the coming zombie apocalypse, and it's relationship to Riverdance. Man oh Man what an incredible evening well spent!!! Great service the energy is top notch.
My personal recommendations would be to meet TJ(mixologist/bartender). This guy has magic portions stored up his sleeve if he comes by your table just ask him to whip you up anything he feels like at the moment. We had something called “what’s the thyme” the cocktail that has blueberries and his secret syrup gin we definitely had our minds blue-own. Can’t wait to go back...

Glad i finally found this place!!! TJ was great and was attentive and the drinks were great. Was really impressed by the music here, too... Sublime, Augustus Pablo & Chromatixx.--- great stuff 💯🫡
