Chill place to study out hang out, their original tteokbokki is so good. Every customer has to order something though, and the family that works here doesn’t treat non-Koreans with the same level of care and kindness.

Coffee is bad, often burnt. The food was fine but the staff are incredibly rude, they clearly have no idea about how to build a good reputation. They will forcefully insist you buy something rather than waiting for you to do so of your own accord, then they demand the order matches the number of people coming in. They are not polite about it either high prices and the food is mediocre at best. Has a nice location and atmosphere, if the staff were not so rude it would actually be a nice place to go.

Decent food for the price, and solid coffee. The latte art was beautiful, but the bagel sandwich had an unsettlingly thick chunk of egg in it. Overall good flavor but I couldn't get past biting into that much egg.

Saw the lady manager verbally attack a customer for doing nothing. Not going back.

Nice when it’s not full of students studying - hence nowhere to sit.

Their tteokbokki is one of the best in town if not the best.

The Rose Tteokbokki was definitely good, but it tasted like very easy to make. Tastes exactly like buldak sauce + the carbonara sauce. Also the portions are so small compared to how expensive it is. Says it’s for 2 but definitely not!!

Mediocore food and drinks. I had a matcha which was so sweet you wouldn't even know there was matcha in it!

As for chicken quesadilla; rather wet and unsatisfying. Rather rubbery.

As for the desserts, they are good-but that's because they are brought in and resold. You can get them from most places.

I came here two years ago for the rose tteokbokki and I was so impressed by it. I moved to Langley after so I decided to pay a visit again for this dish (because I can't find one that's as good as this place outside). After first bite we find it not spicy at all and the flavor seems off. The owner came and unfortunately, we got blamed by him for taking the wrong order (original flavor) and he was angry when walking off. We did offer our name to the server to confirm before taking it. Instead of requesting for an exchange/refund, I asked if we should continue eating the order we have. We were hoping he will offer to exchange because our correct order was just sitting behind the counter. He only replied: "yes, just eat it." Basically asking us to just suck it up. It's unfortunate, because I actually made my way from Langley just so I can eat their rose tteokbokki again but ended with the service they chose to provide - and because I know how good it will taste, it made me more sad :(

I was absolutely appalled by the behavior of the Korean male manager/waiter during my recent visit. Instead of aggressively YELLING at a customer who mistakenly took the wrong order, perhaps training your staff better would be a more effective solution. There is no excuse for YELLING and CURSING at customers—it’s UNPROFESSIONAL, especially when it was an honest mistake and no one deserved to be blamed like that. I expect a lot more respect and basic customer service from any establishment.”
