One of the best happy hours downtown without question! Great tacos, good drinks, and extremely affordable. Thank you so much for setting this bar. Amazing.

My only complaint: I know I'm getting older but this place is LOUD; it's actually insane. Your staff are going to have permanent hearing loss in no time... take it easy for their sake XD

Great place with a street patio to grab tacos and decently priced drinks. They have an happy hour as well for tacos (2ish dollar)

Best happy hour in the city, awesome tacos and cool atmosphere.

I visited The Pawn Shop Thursday night with two friends and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. First, we were charged full price for the Thursday taco special, and only after pointing it out did the server correct the bill—something that should’ve been automatic.

When we received the revised bills (we split it three ways), one person who didn’t order any alcohol was still charged GST, PST, and LST. I brought this up politely, as PST should not apply to food, and LST should not be charged if no liquor was consumed. The server’s response was dismissive—she simply said, “It’s the system, I don’t know why it did that,” and didn’t make any attempt to check with a manager or offer a solution.

I understand mistakes happen, but the lack of effort to resolve the issue or even acknowledge our concern was frustrating. It felt like the staff was more interested in brushing it off than providing decent customer service. This experience left a bad taste, despite the food itself being decent.

We came on a Sunday and thanks to Lupita we had amazing night. She was fast and taking care of our drinks and food. Everything was delicious specially the black berry rose. Also Mateo is one of a kind an incredible manager that made our night remarkable. Thank you.

Worth a visit, tacos were great, place was busy for a Sunday and we didn't have a reservation but they found seating for us at the bar, bartender was very friendly and attentive.

I'll be back for sure next time I'm in Vancouver!

The only good things about this restaurant are the decor and the beer prices. I was very disappointed with the food—especially the Dirty Burrito—which was 90% rice with just a thin layer of meat. I don’t recommend this place for eating. The service was just fine, but only two out of four of us were given cutlery, and we had to ask for more after the food had already arrived. lol.

Tacos and apps were very good but our service was fantastic. They made sure to keep bringing us drinks. Sunday all day happy hour is the day to go. The music was good and the atmosphere was a good time for all around.

I was not impressed with the service. Our waitress gave us so much attitude and was extremely rude. She was super unfriendly and seemed annoyed that she was serving us. It honestly ruined the night for us.

They aren’t kidding when they say best happy hour in town!! $2.49 tacos - and they are DELICIOUS. Great drinks too. Highly recommend!

Review of The Pawn Shop YVR: Where Chaos Tastes Delicious

The Pawn Shop YVR isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience, a fever dream of tacos, tequila, and tunes that somehow makes total sense once you’re a Michelada in.

We kicked things off with a Philly taco that tasted like someone dropped a cheesesteak into a tortilla and said, “You’re welcome.” Then came the Tropic Thunder, which was basically a Hawaiian vacation for our taste buds—juicy, sweet, a little wild, and possibly sunburned.

Our kid went full legend with quesadillas and chicken strips, looking at the adult menu like, “That’s cute.” She barely looked up—just happy, saucy, and living her best life.

Now, let’s talk Micheladas. They weren’t just drinks, they were personality upgrades. Crisp, spicy, and perfectly salty. After the second round, the sticky tables felt charming, and the loud music? Inspirational. We weren’t yelling to hear each other—we were projecting passion.

The whole vibe of The Pawn Shop YVR is messy in the best way. Loud, fun, weirdly welcoming. Like your coolest friend’s garage turned into a taco party and forgot to clean up—but nobody cares because the food is that good.

10/10 would come back, shout our order again, and spill a little salsa on ourselves in the process.

Immaculate vibes. Live DJ for happy hour, $2.50 tacos that were so delicious, and incredible margs!

The best tacos, and a literal bucket of a drink!

I liked the food (chicken taco was my favorite) and the service, but the music was so loud that I had to yell all evening like I was in the nightclub

The food and drinks were really good. The three different kind of tacos I had we're 10/10. On top of that the place is SUPER affordable.
The staff was really friendly and fun, got me in a party mood.
Only thing is they do over-serve their customers and some of them are very intoxicated and would bother us from time to time (table of young women).
