Great spot for ramen.
Obsessed at first bite! I was excited to try out this place as it has historical significance. And it did not dissappoint. The black garlic tonkatsu ramen I ordered had all the right elements that make a mouth-watering bowl of hearty ramen....nice toppings perched on top of your choice of regular or vegan egg noodles, bathed in a rich broth with just the right amount of umami black garlic 👌 Service, food, and ambiance was all top notch ✅. Can't wait to return for more!
Amazing!
Delicious!
Great ramen, I enjoyed every bit of it!😋😋
Had a late dinner at the ramen butcher, tried the tonkatsu ramen and vegetarian ramen. Both are tasty and the portion was worth it. For the drink chosen, the flight of sake, 3 samples of sake for polished rice wine from rough to soft. It was perfectly fit for ending the heavy dinner.
i don’t really know where else i can get tsukemen in vancouver, but i’m so glad i found this place because they do it really well. the noodle texture is so bouncy and perfect, the broth was delicious, and i LOVED the pork.

For nearly $20 a bowl, you’d expect to get more broth; there was a ton Of noodle and not enough broth; there’s a $3 extra for more broth; the noodles soak up all the broth. Then the appies we got Gyoza and tartar karage and there was not enough dipping sauce; for $10/appies, we got to go and the amount of dip they gave with the original order Barley covered the bottom of the small to go dip container so I asked for them to top it up; then they told me normally they charge for this too!
Some of the tables are too close in some areas, I had the table next to me nearly in my lap and to get up they had to have their butts in my face and our table 🤢 kinda made me lose my appetite.
Food is good, but there are far better places for ramen

Honestly wasn’t expecting much from this place, just your average ramen you know, but oh my gosh I never knew ramen could taste so heavenly!! I got the green basil ramen and I’m so glad I did. It was literally perfection, the broth, the flavour and i love how thin and springy the noodles were! I’m coming here again for sure 😮💨 also if you’re looking to get the spicy ramen, well according to my friend it wasn’t spicy at all so

I ordered the black garlic ramen and I didn't like it. In my opinion, the broth is quite heavy and greasy. My wife ordered the spicy ramen and it was much better.
Reading the comments of other customers, I learn that the restaurant has complimentary tea. On our visit we did not find out about this.
In our particular case, we sat at a table next to a large column, which made it difficult for the waiters to see us.
On a positive note, it is possible to order an extra order of noodles for free when you order tonkotsu ramen.

Kid-friendliness: Have a special menu for kids!! The plate for kids is so cute
Phenomenal Ramen… I usually prefer Pho, but this place has changed my position on that.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid, hardy bowl or Ramen.
