I don't get the hype. Expensive, not enough vegetarian options. Yet I see people lined up outside all the time. I guess there isn't much competition in the neighbourhood for brunch.

Food was really good, Iām the only vegan but everyone elseās food looked great and no one had any complaints.
I got the tofu scramble and it was delicious but very much not a tofu scramble lol, it was smoked tofu pieces in a tomatoey sauce with mushrooms and arugula, salty, tangy, Smokey 9/10.
I do think if they renamed it āsmoked tofu shakshukaā it would be better received as if someone was expecting a scramble and got that theyād be a bit confused.
But honestly very good and Iām grateful to even be thought of when it comes to a good vegan breakfast!

Donāt sleep on the awesome dinner menu at RED WAGONā but be warned, side effects may include post-meal dreamlike states of fluffy mashed potato and gravy delight.
We all know red wagon for breakfast, but if you havenāt gone for the dinner menu you are seriously missing out! Brad and team are serving up an amazing rotation of seasonal comfort food that will knock your socks off ā skip the brunch lineup and walk right into this spot for dinner most nights of the week!
Last night we had an **amazing** in house made French-style pate/terrine, following by a Caesar salad (complete with house smoked lardon), then we shared the steak frites with brined peppercorn + the pork cheek bourguignon ā the pork cheek, just added to the menu, quickly became the STAR dish to fight over when sharing.
Prior to this visit I had the smash burger and the bistro (wet) burger and both were fantastic. I will put red wagonās burgers up against any Vancouver burger establishment (Iāve tried them all) for the WIN. My take is that they arenāt trying to copy otherās burgers styles and are just having fun bring you what they like so you can join them in burgerville.
Also a wicked cocktail and beer selection, and I havenāt even mentioned the dessert. Butterscotch custard is one of my favs but the creative assortment of milkshakes will always set you straight too.
Soā¦ go support a real local business, put your money in a real neighborhood and real local team, and be happy eating awesome food made from scratch that leaves you feeling fully satisfied and is still worth the $$ value!
Wonderful little breakfast place. Iām a hardcore ex-New Yorker so Iām always looking for faults. Hard to find any here. Attentive, proper service that made me comfortable. I donāt like food falling off the plate, Iām looking for quality and thatās what you get a Red Wagon.
