All these years later and this place is still a 10/10

A good spot for comfort food in simple surroundings. Two of us were there after the lunch rush. We were seated quickly, and the server was attentive, prompt and friendly. Both of us chose the smoky tomato soup and rated it A+. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon added to it. Cooked perfectly and delicious. Partner matched her soup with a pulled pork sandwich. She prefers thinly sliced roast pork on good sandwich bread spread with mayo. She's a pork eater, but has not fallen in love with shredded meat on a bun. I think I agree, despite having a grandmother born in the southern USA.

Great food in new (to me) location.

I love this spot! Food is mucho deliciouso. I got the super trucker breakfast. I’d highly recommend. Delicious slow cooked meats, crispy pork belly, and fluffy pancakes. It’s an excellent sweet and savoury combo that will leave you stuffed and wanting to snuggle right back into bed. Warm atmosphere and great staff. Check this place out!

What a great place! Pancakes served with blueberry compote and bourbon maple syrup. They use quality ingredients Kari, our server, made us feel so welcome. We’ll be back soon.

The service was very good, the employees were very friendly. For drinks I had their shirley temple, it was good but a bit too sweet. For food I had the pulled pork sandwich, it was very good, however it is very filling and the portion is kind of big so just keep that in mind while ordering!

Decided to see what the hype is about. Pancakes were burned on the bottom, coffee was never refilled. Never again.

It's worth the wait

We went for brunch this past weekend, and it's evident this is a popular place...but is it justified?

We arrived at 9:00am when they opened. They don't fill the restaurant when it opens, but trickle in people so they dont overwhelm the kitchen. That's a red flag to me.

We proceeded to wait more than 30 minutes looking at empty tables, but those who had been seated still had no food, another red flag.

Once we were finally given a table we ordered quite promptly as we had plenty of time to consider the choices on our phones while waiting for a table.

It took nearly another hour for our food to come. Enough time to go through what seemed like a pot of coffee refills. The server was great. Friendly and asked if it was first time, which it was. She said once we got our food we'd understand.

I had the classic Clubhouse, intrigued by their use of chicken salad. It was very disappointing. So little chicken salad that it had no flavour. It was just a lot of bread. The bacon was chewy and not pleasant to eat.

My partner had the beef shortrib breakfast which was alright. He said it was good good, but no repeatable. I found the sauce to be garlic heavy for my taste.

After more than 90 minutes, bill paid we left. 90 minutes for a diner breakfast that wasn't super satisfying is not it.

Clearly people love it, but I think they shouldn't rest on their laurels and have a look at their kitchen output and quality of food going out.
