Truly the most fun experience I have ever had at a bar. Get one of the bowls and have your camera ready, thank me later.

Really lived up to the hype (several of my tiki snob friends rave about their drinks).
After my first two excellent classic tiki drinks, i wanted another, but preferrably non-alcoholic: the very helpful bartender let me know that in addition to their regular menu NA cocktails, they can make alcohol free versions of a few others that are very close to their classic cousins.
Everything was excellent: the drinks (of course), the poke bowl, the dancing! and the vibe of the room.
I did overhear a larger group of folks being reminded that they need to limit table time on busy nights, so I wouldn't plan to spend all evening here with a big party, but honestly 2 hours is plenty of time and the policy is not atypical in my experience, so this wouldn't stop me from going for a birthday or something.
Sitting at the bar solo was great, and I'd go here alone again too.
Excellent experience and very, very lively even on a mid-week evening.
First, while I'll say I'm sure this place isn't for everyone, I have to add I didn't think it would be much for me, either, and I went here to entertain my wife (who loves both everything Hawaiian, and kitsch). But there is something to be said about a 'bad joke' that is just committed to so hard and with such love, that it becomes a good joke after all. I've been to Trader Vic's and many other such places in the past and had a so-so time, but when the entire bar begins to flash while a chant of 'Volcano Bowl!' starts up, and the large tiki at the entrance unleashes smoke at the delivery of the aforementioned bowl drink (and there's a different one for the Mystery Bowl, and I would guess a third for the other bowl, which didn't get delivered while were were there), that even a stoic non-drinker found it charmingly hilarious.
But the most surprising thing was the Polynesian dancers--that come out on Wednesday nights and we arranged to be there for--were actually so affecting. I didn't expect an impassioned dance to a version of Stand By Me, partially sung in Hawaiian, which hit hard after losing one of my closest friends earlier in the month who would have loved the place. That alone would have made it worth the effort to find the place.
So I would definitely say this was one of the highlights of our trip to Vancouver. And even if you're a local who's somehow never been, I'd highly recommend it. They are lovely people in every way.

Started with the Punch bowl , then Zombie and Pain Killer . The drinks are very good and pretty quick . I had the Edamame , Avacado and Crab and Red Curry for dinner with a Salad . My Salad was super clean and fresh and my dressing tasted healthy . I have food allergies and our Server was very helpful . I had zero allergic reactions and furthermore no bloating or any stomachs issues. I didn’t wake up with a hangover in the morning despite the buzz that I had the night before.
The lighting is darker than most Tiki places but I don’t mind as they serve interesting drinks throughout the night with special effects . Next time I go I am taking a small flashlight and magnifying glass to see the menu .
The service is good . Quick for how busy it is . Our server reminded us of the two hour turn around and she spoke so fast but I just think it was busy so nothing personal . When we asked if we can sit at the bar after there were mixed answers like they maybe wanted us to leave so there is room for those who made reservations to sit at the bar ? Not really sure , my husband asked the Bartender and he said we could stay but then someone told my husband we couldn’t so we left even though we were going to have more drinks . Again I don’t take it personally, I just think there was something going on that Staff was just trying to manage . Everyone was friendly , just very busy.
I’m a Tiki enthusiast so I’m just grateful that the Shameful Room is in Vancouver. I definitely plan to go back . We had a great time .

Such a fun vibe, good food, and even better drinks! I was there for Maitai Monday and the deal was phenomenal. Really fun for someone from out of town! The atmosphere was so fun I loved the after hours rainforest cafe vibe.

We came here for a friend's birthday. It's a bit dark inside but it's a cool little place to go to. The food was good and reasonable for price.

Best cocktails in town. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and fun to have a chat with. Come here and get a real mai tai with a heavy pour instead of the knock offs you can get at other bars :)
