Terrible service. Booked a table two months in advance only to have them give my table away bc I was late despite showing up within the 15 minute window. The excuse was “we gave your table away to someone else who’s on their way here” - funny how that would be possible to do when I literally showed up at the 9:15. Place was empty and the guy literally did not care. Could care less to give my hard earned money to a place that treats people like this. The sad part is we were all really excited to try this place out.

Waited months for our reservation but I feel that once they saw our ethnicity they gave away our reservation. They said they held a reservation for 15 minutes but the lineup was so long that it took a while to get to the front desk.

Came here early for a couple drinks. Chill vibe , smoke machines + sound effects later on. Very dark inside. Still easy to talk not super loud. Tried a few different drinks and all were tasty , I like the menu is is very descriptive and images of each of the drinks. My favourite was blue Hawaii , not blended but small chunks of ice. We didn’t try food other than chips + salsa , decent portion $9. Our server was efficient and made sure we always had a drink or asked if we want more. 2 hour time limit on tables.

Some of the best drinks in the city! The painkiller is my favourite. I will say I personally found the food underwhelming and overpriced. Extremely underwhelming, actually. But that’s not why you go to The Shameful Tiki Room!! You go for the amazing drinks, fun vibes, decor and the staff. Great place!

Before coming in, I was heavily excited about checking this place out. There were no servers on sight to have us seated. So we helped ourselves and chose a table to sit at, no problem.
After a while, we placed our order as well as enjoying the ambience and decor that surrounded us. The drinks were solid, because with that alone, I would give a 5-star rating.
Our Pu Pu Platter arrives and unfortunately it was mediocre. The BIG thing was that the server DID NOT ask us if we had any food allergies. The menu also doesn’t describe other potential ingredients included in the platter because there were pineapples (I’m highly allergic to) in the salad where the ribs sat on top of. omg…I immediately/genuinely did not want to take another bite of the food anymore.
I still left a tip even though they forgot to place our taco order that we asked for, but never have I ever experienced this kind of shock/scare. Maybe you will have a better experience than I did… :’(
We had a lovely time. The drinks and food were tasty, the service was attentive, and the vibes were great! I would go back in a heartbeat.

What a place to be! It's one of the best cocktail bars out there. The vibes are impeccable, the cocktails are to die for! Service is great. Amazing place to have drinks with your friends, hands down! I love the tribal look they have for the place, such a vibe. Do yourself a favor and take a cab to this place because you'll leave turnt 🤣

We were only in town for a couple days and didn’t think to book a reservation, especially when we learned that the night we went they would have live hula dancers! They were able to squeeze the two of us in and we were so happy! This bar is INCREDIBLE! If you love the niche 60’s tiki style, the Disney’s ride or just a good cocktail you will love this place! We didn’t end up eating as we foolishly got food before hand but the menu's looked like they had lots to pick from that all sounded delicious. My fiancé is not a cocktail person but he loved the Pain killer, we will definitely be coming back next time we are in Van and trying more !

This is the only real Tiki bar in town. The decor, atmosphere, staff and most importantly, drinks are all top notch. From the classics to house creations, these guys don't mess around. I've been here over a dozen times and only one time were the drinks mediocre - perhaps a different bartender that one time. Other than that, always hits the spot!
Food is surprisingly decent too, they really know what their doing with the Nachos!
Prices are reasonable all around, their specials are a steal. Reservations highly recommended.
