We arrived on Saturday March 22 around 2:30. Place was empty. We sat at a table and observed the bartender/server having lots of fun with two customers at the bar. It took a very long time to be acknowledged….only after we waved. Drinks arrived and we asked for menus. Unfortunately, our server was once engaged with her friends at the bar, and we had to again wave to put our order in. Appalling service. Food mediocre. Will not be back. Too many other places that want guests.

What an awesome spot to be for a rainy day happy hour! Guinness and rosemary fries hit the spot. Nicola was super fun and friendly, only had time for a pint but will be coming back for MANY more in the future.

Minor Disappointment

came here for drinks & appetizers. service was abysmal with the server forgetting to bring items after we ordered them. it wasn’t busy so I’m hoping it was an issue of them being short staffed. even then, the few times our server managed to stop by the service was still not great. food was good though.

A fairly quiet and pleasant bar with a very good view.

I’ve only been here once so I cant speak for the whole menu but was defintely one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Dill tarter was amazing. Fish cooked to perfection and small thin fries with delicious gravy. My friend has the salmon dish and said it was really good aswell. Overlooking English bay this was a great spot to eat. Highly recommend.

Wow! The staff and service were 5 stars. So nice and friendly. Really a fabulous experience. Can’t wait to go back. Also the awesome guy working Saturday the 9th, thank you so much for being so caring and letting us hang up a missing person poster. 💖⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Information isn't correct it's not family friendly like it says , we were turned away because we had children with us ,
The info says hi chairs available,
But minors are not allowed in

Kid-friendliness: No kids allowed

Somehow, this place was a recommendation. The best thing about this pub is the view, all downhill from there. The service was non existent. Anytime we needed something, we had to go on a walk about to find our server. When our food finally arrived, the disappointments continued. Cold fries and our burnt fish came swimming in grease. Couldn't eat the food, left hungry and disappointed.

So Dissapointed. Extremely slow service. When we finally got our Fish and Chips ($22) the fries were cold and hard. The fish was so overcooked and greasy. There was actually a pool of grease underneath. The cook had placed a napkin underneath to attempt to soak up the grease but there was just too much. Definitely the worst fish and chips we ever had. Everyone in our group had the same experience.

Nice view of the water though…

We came by on a Sunday night around 1130pm. We sat down at our table and ordered one drink, asked for a few minutes to decide on another drink since so many drinks were sold out. We waited about 40 mins for the server to acknowledge us again. At that time, we asked if we could order some food and she let us know the kitchen was closed, it had almost been an hour at that point that we were waiting just to find out the kitchen was closed. Definitely didn’t feel like we were welcomed there. We paid for the one drink and went somewhere else. Was pretty disappointed.
