Updating my review to three stars… the location is fine with nice long tables and a diverse menu of Asian fusion cuisine. I heard the cocktails were amazing but my review of the food is that it’s just mediocre. I got the k town noodles but the 4 prawns were really sad looking and unflavoured and the dish just lacked spice and flavor. I got extra hot sauce to try to redeem it but it just wasn’t worth it.—-Great drinks, pretty good food. The green beans were really good, the vermicelli bowl was just okay - could use a bit more oomph. Make good use of the chili oil and hot sauces!

We were really happy with this choice. The wings were a total standout and all of our noodle bowls completely hot the spot. Good cocktails and service as well. Would definitely come again.

Absolutely delicious 1st time experience. Everything we ordered was an explosion of taste. Exceeded ALL expectations! planning to be back Thursday-bringing friends.

Came here for wing night and it was absolutely delicious. The wings were perfectly flavourful, not too saucy, a little bit crispy on the outside. I got the hawker Thai. Will definitely come back on Wed. The server was also super nice and kept asking if we were ok.

The food here is soooo yummy! Sat on the patio on a nice day and had some drinks and snacks and left very happy. Service was great, next time I'll sit inside to see what its like.

Absolutely excellent food. The wait staff was super friendly and very quick. We had kimchi fries (an awesome alternative to poutine), a tofu bahn-mi and the tteokbokki which were both unreal good. Especially if you like a little hit of spice. Looking forward to going again and trying more menu options next time we’re in the area.

First time at the Union, and it was what I expected - fresh and tasty, flavourful and tangy! Top picks is their cod based “Cha Ca Hanoi” made with all kinds of herbs and turmeric Chili coconut milk - yum! (See photo). Their Massaman Curry was very nice too, a red curry taste in a yellow curry look, unexpected and very nice. Their Bombay Masala Chicken Wings with vegan ranch dressing - what a nice combo of flavours! Highly Recommend this place…

We had a great brunch at this trendy Asian Fusion restaurant in Chinatown. My wife had the Shanghai Scramble and I had the Bombay Benny. The benny was totally different and tasty and delicious with a side of Tofu Bacon. My wife and I shared a pint of Storm Pineapple Beer that was surprisingly good. Our friends had Korean and Vietnamese foods. Quite a mix of options. Service was very good and helpful and attentive.

Delicious bowls, cauli wings, Sandoz and more! Food is a 5, price/service 4. Small patio. Happy hour.

South-east Asian fusion with Irish bartenders to match it. $$ Food, $ Beers. Sometimes I wonder if I would ever come here if it wasn't less than a block away, but then it's beer o'clock and here we go again ?

We wanted to have happy hour at a different location but ended up here. What a great surprise, it wasn’t busy and it was super spacious. The vibe is very chill and our server Julia is such a delight. We ordered a few appetizers and it was delicious, high recommend the sweet and spicy cauliflower. Tuesday was happy hour for all the bowls so we each got one. The were huge portions and very flavourful. I especially love the peanut bowl with noodles. The peanut butter cheesecake was the last touch. I would love to come back again for drinks and more food.

Just had the best time chilling here at The Union. Such great vibes here on a weekday evening, friendly servers, wicked tunes, and very fine food. They have house made mystery (lol) hot sauce which I slathered over every.thing, and I really liked the peanut noodle bowl with sambai ginger peanut sauce and crispy tofu cubes. Gochujang wings excellent, and the comment from my friends on the kimchi fries was they wished they could taste more kimchi. Thanks Union for the super hospitality. Will be back!

As a frequenter here I think the chefs absolutely know what they're doing, but the quality of the meat varies and can be bland, dry and/or way too fatty. Vegetarian options are the best bet with The Union.

Food and drinks were good, as they always are. The waitress was also great but a bit distracted. That's fine; not a big deal. But when I quickly popped up, greasy fingered and thirsty, from my seat to the bar (3 steps away) to ask the waitress for napkins and another drink, the bartender took the opportunity to reprimand me for not having put my mask on in a completely unnecessary a****** move that had zip all to do with anything other than, well, him being a dick.
