This is such a nice place. We sat outside and the had the heater on. The waiter and hostess were very kind. The oysters were very good and the portion for the fish and chips was perfect. Very fresh and tasty! Will be back on our next trip don’t pay attention to the bad reviews this place is very good

This place is definitely overly pricy for such food quality and service provided. Food was so so below average. The garlic bread tasted like refrigerated paper. The mushroom risotto is sour. The batter for the fish and chips is pretty thick and the halibut isn't at its freshness. The dessert apple crumble is the worst. The crumble is like a chewing little rocks...The server wasn't rude at all, but just lacked table manner knowledge - almost none (too lazy to type them all out). And you can see that other server kept chatting with the same table and neglecting other tables they were serving. It wasn't an upsetting dinner. I would have rate it OK if the bill was half priced. Just the pricing and everything else are extremely mismatched. This is my first visit, and would probably be the last.

Dropped in for a quick bite. Had the oyster shooters. Pretty good and not too expensive.

Had a great dinner here during happy hour. Our server Pierre was very kind and friendly.First time visiting granville and won't be the last time. Food is pricey so definitely save this place for a special occasion but worth it. Taste is better compared to sandbar.

The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there. We were seated near the windows but then we saw a mouse scurry by right behind us and asked to be moved to a booth as they were raised and felt safer lol. When we mentioned it to the waiter he apologised and explained that they leave the doors open by the water and they’re coming from below deck. It wasn’t a big deal to us but thought it was worth a mention when reviewing. The food was great. We started with some oysters and squid to share. The squid was delicious. Oysters were fine. I ordered the scallops as recommended by our waiter and my date ordered the halibut. We also ordered the seafood fettuccine to try. The scallops were amazing! My favourite dish of the night for sure. Not overcooked or rubbery and the bacon jam was yum. The halibut looked underwhelming but was fairly good. The seafood linguine was okay. It had an overwhelming taste of sundried tomatoes. The service is great wait staff are very friendly.

Shopping all day long at the Granville Island Market can leave you hungrier than Hell. With so many eatery options to choose from, it is nearly impossible to decide which place to go to. The bait that lured my girlfriend and I to The Fish Company was the fact that we would be able to sit outside on the patio with a gorgeous view, and we'd made it just in time to catch Happy Hour.I ended up ordering an Entrée of Scallops while my girlfriend took full advantage of Happy Hour, ordering a slew of items as her meal instead of getting a main dish. I must say it was most impressive to see dish after dish being brought to our table, all of it looking scrumptious, and tasting even better than they looked.I am positive that we ended up with a magic self~regenerating bowl, as there never seemed to be an end to the mussels. The bowl might look small but it's jammed full of mussels. This item is a steal ordering it during Happy Hour.Didn't care too much about the vegetables propping up my Scallops, so I kind of bypassed eating them. The Scallops were juicy and tender with just the right amount of sear.Somehow, we both had room for dessert, so we went with their Chocolate Torte offering. When my girlfriend "jokingly" requested extra whipped cream, our server gave her two helpings of it. If that isn't damn good service then I don't know what is.Suffice to say, this was one of our more memorable meals. Everything was perfect, from the view, to our server {who took wonderful care of us for the hours that we ended up staying}. I'm also including pictures of my Seafood Linguini and Lobster Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup take~out, because all of it was delicious. If you're having doubts, take a leap of faith, and just surrender to The Fish Company hook, line, and sinker.

Came for happy hour. Oysters were mediocre due to funky mignonette. Burger was overcooked and poorly dressed. Pasta was bland. Shrimp cocktail was 4 sad and tiny shrimp that had no business being served in a cocktail, with cheap processed sugary cocktail sauce. Service was excellent. Ambiance was quite pleasant and comfortable.Kid-friendliness: Loaded with noisy rambunctious kids despite the very high prices
