I absolutely love supporting small businesses and especially those that are gluten free however this restaurant was fairly average, nothing too special. Had the GF WAFFLES: which were fairly small and seemed like they just took them out of the freezer and let them air thaw - they didn't come plated hot. However appreciated that they served them with the maple syrup and butter on the side. Also had the GRILLED TOMATO & SPINACH BENNY: as with the waffles also came out less then warm (almost room temperature it seemed). Fairly average flavours as well.
I used to love the Wallflower for its eclectic vibe and great menu, but my recent trip was a bust. Service was poor, and the squash entree was over cooked and really bitter, and the broccoli was steamed without any seasoning. It was also unusually loud which though is no one’s fault, it didn’t help my already poor experience.I enjoy supporting local, but this will sadly be my last visit to the Wallflower ?
A quirky and nicely sized spot for comfort foods and happy hour drinks. Lots of vegan and gluten free options availible. Unfortunately, not as good as it used to be.
The food is delicious! The service was good. The art was great!
Worst service! We came in and sat down, we ordered some food and we were waiting for Happy hour to start in 5 minutes to order our drinks. No one ever came back to our table, nearly 30 minutes goes by and we're finally able to flag down the server. Our food came out shortly after drinks. It was okay, just ordered nachos so nothing special, but nice addition of lemongrass vegan chicken. Again we finish our drinks and water and then food then we wait and wait again. No one ever comes back! We again have to waive down a server for our bill. It was not that busy at the time, definitely much after the brunch rush. I was so close to walking out and not paying even though it's something I would never do. The one server seemed like they were just talking to they're friends the whole time.
Hmmmm .... we used to LOVE this place, but the quality of food seems to have changed. My husband ordered the waffles and was presented with 3 small waffles and syrup in a plastic pot ( no maple syrup ) He had to ask for butter, but the waffles were too cold and the butter too hard. The waffles themselves were nothing special and honestly were comparable to the frozen waffles you get from the grocery store. For $15 we were definitely expecting more. The place is still cute and the staff still friendly and helpful, but yeah - we were disappointed with the food
I’ve never reviewed a restaurant before but this place unfortunately gave me a reason to. The service was really terrible. Not only slow (waiting at least 45 minutes for our food) but also the waiter just wasn’t paying attention and kept making weird mistakes such as only bringing three servings of ketchup for a table of five. Normally I don’t notice stuff like that, but the sheer volume of it was hard to miss. But it was the food that made me never want to go back. I had a Benny and the eggs were seriously over cooked, the avocado was all brown and spotty (I think they thought they could hide it under hollandaise sauce?), the bread was so hard that—I say this without exaggeration—my cutlery BENT as I was cutting it. Not to mention it was TINY. I think I got about ten tiny hash browns on the side. Like there were so few they were awkwardly spread out on the plate. Not at all worth the $18.I’ve never sent back food or complained in my life but I really wish I had. It was the worst meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Go to Heirloom instead!
Love this place. Chill vibe. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. They're always willing to accommodate. ?
Great menu, good people. Always something interesting on the walls! A suitable place to work on your D&D campaign if it's not too busy.
AMAZING. Love this place, perfect for celiac, vegan and vegetarian. The portions are a bit small but the prices are really cheap! Maximum is probably 20$ for an entree. And happy hour is 3-close every day! Lovely staff :)

absolutely terrible, we were giving this place a second chance after our first disappointing visit. The service was awful, we waited 45 minutes or more and the place was freezing. We ordered the:'Rosemary Baby' and when it came it was basically a bowl of pasta in tomato sauce, On the menu it didn't even mention that it was a pasta dish. The rest of portions were very small. Do not go here there are plenty of other great places nearby.
So, me and my three friends decided to dine here because it looked good right? But the minute we walked in the vibes were not it. There was a sign asking us to wait to be served which we complied with. The two individuals working there, specifically this white lady, glared at us and ignored all of us. Some back story, my friends and I are people of color, and the people dining there were primarily white passing. After ten minutes, nobody came to greet us or help us, so we awkwardly left. The customer service was the worst I had ever seen.
One of my favourite places to eat. As a celiac, it’s so great to be able to eat without stress as they understand how to properly prepare things gluten free. One of our go-to’s when we’re eating out.
I love The Wallflower! Incredible food and super nice staff. The eggs Benny are amazing and I need a supervisor around me to ensure I don’t gorge on their delicious hash browns until I explode. My new life goal is to steal the recipe for their salad dressing cause I would take shots of that straight!
Not trans friendly. I came in today because they have a transgender icon in the window. I showed the server my vaccine passport and ID, which have a woman's name and F gender marker. I thought I looked good. I had eyeliner and a big purple purse, which I set on the bar upon being seated. The same server asked me if I wanted a coffee and I said yes. They then asked their colleague to bring a coffee for "the gentleman."If the management is reading this, I kindly ask that you remove the transgender icon from your window. You are setting unrealistic expectations for the safety of your business. Moreover, you have not earned the right to display it.
