Service staff is lovely and coffee and matcha is delicious! Donuts are some of the best!
For a brunch spot though, the bacon benny was hugely disappointing - bacon was sooo overcooked it crumbled with the tap of the fork and tasted like powder. Surprising for a brunch spot! Would not order again.
Such delicious brunch! Always a busy spot. Great vibe and ambience. The Bennies, tater tots, and fried chicken for breakfast are all amazing. I will say the jam on the bacon benny is interesting, providing a new flavour I’ve never experienced.
One thing that could improve is, they only offer a limited take-out menu, which is very disappointing if you aren’t able to get a table and want to do takeout instead. There are only a few menu items to choose from for takeout and it doesn’t include Bennies (a shame because they are delicious!)
Back in Vancouver, and of course the gloomy weather calls for brunch. I’d been here before for coffee and a donut, but I got curious to try their brunch as well. This place is especially known for their mochi donuts, which have a really interesting texture, very chewy with a bit of crispiness on the outside. I’m generally not a huge donut fan, and this version is still a little greasy, but the texture is definitely unique and worth trying at least once.
We were surprisingly the first customers of the day, which was great since the line is usually pretty long (it’s a pretty hyped-up spot).
Avocado Benedict ($22) 3/5
I ordered this for a lighter take on bennies, but in my opinion they added way too much hollandaise. Combined with the avocado, everything ended up tasting overly rich. The eggs were perfectly poached though, and the tater tots were also nicely crunchy.
Mortadella Sandwich ($15) 4/5
My friend, who loves this place for brunch, said this is her favourite menu item and I can see why. I feel like it’s underrated since most people go for the bennies or the chicken pancakes, but I’d highly recommend this instead.
The texture combination is great: thinly sliced mortadella, an egg layer that almost feels like a crepe, and crispy onions. The tobasco sauce also helps balance everything out and makes the dish feel lighter.

My favorite brunch spot in Vancouver. I go with my husband about once or twice a month, and the food and service are consistently amazing. Shout out to Anna who’s a rockstar!

Got there at 1:30pm on a Sunday and had to wait for ~1h during which we went next door and got some sushi rolls to tide us over. The hostess was very nice and helpful. Split the avocado benedict which was super flavorful and the tots were crispy and delicious. Had one of the best matchas of my life and my husband had a delicious mocha as well (very rich and legit chocolate). Would definitely recommend!

On a bright, but rainy Saturday morning, my partner and I were looking for some brunch in the kitsilano area. We found Their There and I am so glad we tried it out. It had a pretty long wait, so we killed an hour by walking around the area checking out the various shops. Parking was also atrocious on the street, but we eventually got a spot. Anyways, once inside we set our eyes on the fantastic vibe of the place with nice big open windows and we ordered our food. We started with the cereal milk mochi donut and also ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Beef Brisket Hash. Everything we had was so so good. The mochi donut was not too sweet and had a nice chew kinda like a butter mochi. The fried chicken was super flavorful as well with the beef brisket hash just being a perfect food for the breakfast mood. Service was really nice here and it was a very enjoyable meal. I also learned that this is a sister restaurant to a michelin starred place nearby which explains why its so good.

When the owners of Annalena opened their doors here it was exciting and Hundy lived up to the hype immediately. Thus, I was hesitant to write this negative review. Now, my last 5 experiences have been disappointing at best. There have been multiple arrogant, non-engaging staff. I just had a guy stare at me blankly and grunt as I gave my order. Also, the chicken sandwich quality was much lower than previous times, with almost no chicken as it was mostly breading. Hoping my experience is an anomaly.

This was one of my top coffee spots when visiting Vancouver. We often visit family in Vancouver, and ihis was our top spot for food and coffee. We loved this place and the people that worked there. We would frequently eat at Hundy as well. I have never had a sour interaction until yesterday. I entered with my service dog ( a 4 pound yorkie) and was immediately accosted by the hostess, demanding proof of a service dog,, and telling me I could not enter the establishment. I've been in there at least 50 times with my service dog without such an incident. She was quite aggressive and I told her she was incorrect and could call the police to have me removed.
I walked in only to be accosted by the manager who was a shade more polite. She explained that the restaurant could be fined $5000 for allowing an undocumented service dog to be in their restaurant. I was taken aback and thought maybe the service dogs laws had indeed changed. She decided to do me a favor, and allowed us in so we could spend some money. When I returned home, I checked out the laws, and it is still on the books that I am allowed into restaurants, and don't have to provide the establishment with any type of proof. Shame on you, Theor Therr you should hire people who understand disability laws or at least have a less aggressive approach.
