This is a classic. Food such a flavour adventure. Service remarkable. Very memorable! Thank you Chef Tojo and Tomo too!

I ordered the CHEF'S CHOICE. I WAS UNDERWHELMED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE FISH. I EAT A FAIR AMOUNT OF SUSHI AND IT DID NOT SEEM AS FLAVORFUL OR FRESH AS I HAD EXPECTED GIVEN THE HIGHER PRICES. SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD THOUGH THE RESTAURANT WAS NEARLY EMPTY WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CLUE.
Very nice staff, attentive. Had a chance to take a look how the sushi was made/served. The chefs also very nice ppl and very approachable.

Very good experience. We didn't chose the omakase, but one can pass by the omakase bar and see. The chef, Tojo, very friendly.
We had another wonderful dinner at Tojo's. The service was efficient yet unobtrusive. Food was excellent and the cocktails are fun and well made. We tried a few new dishes and they were at the same high standards as our usual selections. The Tojo's Tuna is a long time favorite. The Gyu Sashi was a new find, as was the Misu Karaage. The salmon sashimi was excellent as were the making rolls. Our server helped us with a sake tasting which was a really nice experience- learned a lot.
I am dearly thankful to the friend that introduced our family to Tojo's!

The food and service were excellent. We had the seasonal omakase, and each dish was prepared and plated nicely, explained by our server and most importantly had great taste.
For $330/person, I believe the value for this omakase is truly abominable. You are paying for chef Tojo’s personality and the privilege of him serving you. For this price tag, especially in the city of Vancouver, I think you are better off opting for something on the Michelin guide. If you want to meet Tojo and try his famous california roll, just come here for the a la carte menu. Don’t get me wrong, I get it. It’s a pleasure to see this chef at work and the ingredients are decently fresh and chef Tojo obviously takes pride in his work and ingredients; but the lack of technique, presentation, and attentive service is palpable - especially at this price tag. Thank you for the meal but we will never be back.

Awesome

Not worth the hype. Pretty dismal portion for the main dish of salmon. Non existent service, I had to flag our server down or advise other staff about ordering, A dish missing from my hubby, and came way late. It wasn't even busy and our servers didn't even check on us. There were busser ladies who took away our empty dishes, but server didn't even ask how things are. Constantly looking for someone to ask about the missing dish, getting tea and getting our bill. We left hungry with what we ordered and paid. Don't bother.
Last time we dined at Tojo's it was outstanding and memorable. Recently out of town guests requested authentic Japanese cuisine....Tojo's was the logical first choice. The service was impeccable and every dish and beverage exquisite. Our friends are traveling to Osaka in the new year for a 3 week cycling tour and now they are inspired. Thank you for a special and delicious evening.
Second to none and worth every penny
