We had another wonderful dinner at Tojo's. The service was efficient yet unobtrusive. Food was excellent and the cocktails are fun and well made. We tried a few new dishes and they were at the same high standards as our usual selections. The Tojo's Tuna is a long time favorite. The Gyu Sashi was a new find, as was the Misu Karaage. The salmon sashimi was excellent as were the making rolls. Our server helped us with a sake tasting which was a really nice experience- learned...
Last time we dined at Tojo's it was outstanding and memorable. Recently out of town guests requested authentic Japanese cuisine....Tojo's was the logical first choice. The service was impeccable and every dish and beverage exquisite. Our friends are traveling to Osaka in the new year for a 3 week cycling tour and now they are inspired. Thank you for a special and delicious evening.
Chef Tojo has received a long list of awards and accolades throughout his culinary career and has earned respect as a Master Chef for his extraordinary ability to prepare Japanese cuisine. He was the first to introduce Omakase to Vancouver’s culinary scene and is the creator of countless dishes and techniques that are ubiquitous today. Among the most influential is the “Inside out” Tojo Roll, which is now universally known as the “California Roll.”
