A unique Katsu Sandwich shop with great delicious sandwiches and fries. I usually find them at many events with food trucks.

Dude said our sando would take 5-7 min and it took him like 20 min. Didn't even apologize for the error.

Gyu Katsu was amazing, but the pork katsu?? Even better.
I didn’t expect the tonkatsu to be THAT good. It’s thicker, juicier, and somehow more satisfying. This pork sandwich deserves the spotlight!

Biggest food let down in a very long time. I recently tried one of their sandwiches at the farmers market in New West as I was starving at some point in the afternoon, and nothing else of substance was available to eat at that event. I would have put it straight into the garbage if it wasn't for the total waste of $20 (tips, incl.), plus I was hungry, plus I don't like food waste. My beef sandwich was absolutely disgusting, and the portion was ridiculously small for the price. There was nothing pleasant about it. Bread was soggy, meat imitating leather, sauce on the bitter/salty side. Other than the service being ok, nothing else was worth the price. Sorry.

Pretty disappointed at the gyu katsu. Had it first time at the blossoms after dark festival by David Lam park. The gyu katsu was well done and bread a bit soggy. Looks nothing like the photos here. Not sure what happened.

My god this food truck is terrible. Ordered the beef sandwich. They don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to cooking and giving japanese food a bad name. A real japanese fried beef sando is actually delicious when cooked right. Unfortunately they did it so wrong I had to toss it in the trash. If you are the owner reading this, have some integrity! you are japanese! At least look up a youtube tutorial on how to cook for gods sake! And get a better knife - I saw you struggling with that cheap as hell Faberware knife 😂!

Had the gyu-katsu sando. The bread and sauce were fine but the steak was really tough/chewy. I couldn't bite through the meat. Even taking the steak out of the sandwich, I couldn't eat it.The couple running the food truck were nice, but unfortunately the food was really disappointing.

Went there quickly before a show and the food was amazing. Took the beef one and it was so warm and crunchy and the sauce was delicious. Already planning to go there again before the next show we’re seeing.

I am still fantasizing about the chicken sand. It was so tender and delicious. There is something so comforting about these sandos. I would definitely recommend!

Apparently they hire a Japanese guy without authorization, then let him work under the table. It's perfectly against an immigration law. Hope someone belongs to CBSA find out this post, also start to investigate what they do. Please make them cut out that illegal action. Otherwise they keep going on and take job opportunities over from Canadian, authorized workers.UpdateThat Japanese worker without authorization didn't have enough knowledge about working cleanliness. He touched a garbage bag filled with full of trush with cooking rubber gloves then started cooking without changing them as soon as that inappropriate action. On the top he take a bite french fries that he cooked too much with those dirty gloves, then started cooking again just after touching his mouth!NEVER EVER ORDER AND GRAB ANYTHING FROM HERE.OR ELSE YOU'LL GET POLLUTED FOODS.

Sauce on bread tasted like motor oil, very chemical. Also the pork was way too undercooked and too rubbery for my taste. I don't mind rare beef but pork should be cooked longer. Had to throw out as I could not bare the texture and taste. Richmond Food truck January 15, 2024.

This is a food truck. They are known for beef Katsu sandwiches, but also have lots of other options. Can't find another place that does beef Katsu like them so give it a try when you are feeling like something new.
