This is seriously good ramen!! I had the black ramen (chicken broth with extra fresh garlic!!). The broth is rich and flavourful. And the egg is incredibly good! Great unique flavour and texture of yolk. Totally worth the trip to international village just to eat it! Would love to see this guy in his own shop one day β€οΈ

A ramen restaurant in a sketchy food court in the sketchy part of town? Sounds kind of sketch to me. But hold your horses, this place is legit and deserves a chance in the spotlight among the rest of the ramen restaurants in Vancouver.
First thing I notice when I walk by is a set of huuuuuuge pots. One of which had an overwhelming stack of pork bones. So you already know that means their broth is going to be amazing (and it was).
The prices are also really good value! At the time of posting, a black chicken broth ramen is $13.80.
The noodles were standard ramen noodles, they were a solid.
The broth was really flavorful and was garnished with fresh onion and garlic! Which is pretty unique compared to other ramen restaurants.
The chashu was also really good. They were well marinated for loads of flavor and was also gently torched for a smokey touch.
The egg was bliss! A golden creamy center, also well marinated for a burst of flavor.
Also comes with fresh or fried garlic on the side too!
The only con is the food court might have some folks who seem unsavory, so it's not super comfortable. Also the washrooms are basically a biohazard.
But dang this is some real good ramen though.

Torimaru ramen is sooo delicious! I loved the broth and it was so flavorful! The noodles have an amazing chew and it was just perfect.
Also Iβm so sorry bc I posted a review yesterday but that I deleted Please disregard that last review it was for a different ramen place but my google maps put torimaru π₯².

One might never know what gems hide in plain sight until you encounter this place on the second floor. Iβve just finished a bowl of ramen here and feel as if Iβve been transported to a different dimension. Iβm seriously considering buying a second bowl even though Iβm full just to experience the broth again. My friends in other cities will be listening to me talk about this place for days. I wish I could call Anthony Bourdain and tell him how much I love the broth and the flavor, how tasty and tender the chashu is and remarkable in every way. This restaurant is tucked in an unassuming corner of the food court and the patrons of this food court on a random tuesday afternoon are varied. If I had to choose one last meal to have in life, it would be from Torimaru Ramen.

Holy smokes this is amazing bang for buck. For $12.80 the chicken ramen is an absolute steal!! Definitely come here if you want some good ramen, no line up. The Cha Shu was so tender and it was torched as well, which enhanced the flavour of the pork. I'm definitely coming back!

Iβve had plenty of ramen in Japan and I gotta say this hits the spot yβall. Mine was the black Tonkotsu, a really interesting and flavorful broth of garlic oil & coconut oil!
