A cozier nicer less smelly sister restaurant of Zakkushi - the skewers never disappoint! However, the uni was not fresh and I wish they did not serve it. Hoji tiramisu was also nothing special. I'll be back for the skewers though!

We had delicious black draft beer, appetizers, yakitori platter, oden, sushi, and a sake comparison set... I'm sure I'm savoring the happiness of being taken care of by Coco Vancouver at an affiliated izakaya in Japan 😅 With my family who reopened for the first time in a while We spent some time talking slowly.

The food at this Zakkushi location was excellent, even better than other Zakkushi locations I’ve tried. However, the wait time was much longer than expected. For a table of two, each order took around 10-20 minutes to arrive, with the final two skewers taking about 30 minutes. This is longer than what I’m used to at other locations or for casual dining in general. The staff was apologetic about the delays, and service overall was good. My rating reflects the experience as a whole.

This is a bit of hidden gem of an izakaya. Try the pork belly yakitori and their ice cream. The "sake" ice cream is so good that we would go there just for that. Parking in the area is horrific, but there is a "p" parking around the corner. I would return to try again. We did the omakase.

? Authentic Japanese Vibes at Sake Dining HASHIGO! ?
? We visited Sake Dining HASHIGO by Zakkushi for a late-night snack, and it felt like a cozy escape to Japan. The intimate atmosphere and Japanese decor added to the authentic vibe. We ordered a few small plates to share, along with their special 20th anniversary sake, which was smooth and perfectly paired with our dishes.
? The menu features classic izakaya-style options with a refined twist. Every dish was prepared with attention to detail. Every bite tasted fresh and flavorful, making it a cut above most Japanese spots in Vancouver.
? The sake selection here is fantastic, and the staff are knowledgeable about each one. They guided us in choosing a sake that would complement our dishes. Their passion for Japanese cuisine is clear, and it makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.
? Overall, Sake Dining HASHIGO by Zakkushi is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Japanese experience in Vancouver. Whether you’re there for the food, the sake, or the ambiance, you’re in for a treat. Can’t wait to come back for more!

The food and drinks here were great. Some of the dishes came a bit slow but we came here to relax and hangout so we weren’t in a rush.

The place might be a bit small and crowded, so the atmosphere isn’t the best, but the food is absolutely top-notch. Every dish is packed with flavor, making it worth coming back for more. Highly recommended for food lovers!

First time coming here, was excited since same ownership as Zakkushi. We enjoyed the sake flight a lot it’s a fun way to sample different sake. Skewer options were great as well, a bit on the pricier side and noticed when food came out not as HOT as the Main Street location. But overall still pretty good. Cocktail options was a little lacking, we got melon sour which was wayyy too sweet for me. Service was great, after reminding the server that we prefer our food to be hot and he diligently bring out our dishes as quickly as he could. Still pricey considering the portion, or maybe I am just a big eater ?

Absolutely amazing food and service to match. The scallop and uni was divine. The ryukyu was stunning. Great yakitori, especially the scallop. Don't sleep on the jellyfish. This place is a gem and a great place for a date, or just to treat yourself.
