Got the Negiri special to go. I liked most of it but next time ill just order several tuna and salmon. Im finding that there are some fish that still smell fishy to me.

Too expensive for what it is and the hostess was rude tonight
《 🍣 A MOUNT PLEASANT CLASSIC 🍣 》
If you're like me, you have probably walked by East 16th and Main St and wondered what warranted the long lines in front of Toshi Sushi. 🤔
At Toshi's you can find quality seafood on a rotating menu featuring fresh and seasonal fish. 🐟 You have your bluefin tuna, your uni, and all of the other classic sushi options. So delicious!

My fave casual sushi spot in van, I went back twice my last visit! Super fresh high quality fish at reasonable prices and the sweetest staff, you can’t go wrong!
I love their seasonal menu as they have fish that are rare to come by (usually only at omakase). Still love the hamachi and blue fin OOtoro the best! Also love their hojicha ice cream. Can’t wait to be back :)

The food was great but honestly didn’t justify the wait times

Maybe the best bang for your buck sushi in the vancouver proper! Easy to fill yourself up on under 50$/person while still enjoying some nigiri and sashimi. The best time to show up for dinner is between 430-500, the lineup gets long after 600 typically

I’d heard countless praises about Toshi Sushi, so I finally decided to try it. After about a 40-minute wait (they don’t take reservations), I got a seat. The nigiri stood out even more than the sashimi, and the specials were excellent so I'd recommend those. Prices are high, even by Vancouver standards, and while the food and atmosphere were nice, I wish the servers hadn’t rushed us or kept pushing for extra orders. It’s hard to enjoy a $7 uni when your plate gets taken away so abruptly and asked for something else. Overall, it was very good, but perhaps my expectation was too high. At this price point and wait time, I did wish for something more exceeding.

Incredibly good nigiri. Good service. Vibe isn’t perfect because it’s so tight but the price:quality ratio more than makes up for it. Everything was delicious.
