This is a very small japanese-run restaurant with amazing quality and food craftsmanship. The specials of fish from japan are delicious. They have their own self-signin waitlist and you have to wait outside. Well worth the wait.

The nigiri was excellent — the sashimi, shrimp, fish, and rice were perfectly balanced in both taste and texture. And their chicken karaage was just as delicious. Definitely coming back for another dinner!

I went to Toshi Sushi for dinner one night and it was a solid sushi experience. The moment I walked in the space felt calm and clean, with a relaxed vibe that made it easy to settle in right away.
I ordered a mix of nigiri and a few rolls. The fish tasted fresh and smooth, and the rice was the right texture — not too soft and not too hard. Each piece felt well balanced and easy to enjoy. The rolls were put together neatly, and the flavours complemented each other without overpowering the sushi.

I ordered a few nigiri pieces and a sushi roll. The fish tasted fresh and smooth, and the rice was the right texture. Everything was well balanced and not too heavy. I could tell they make things carefully instead of rushing.
Service was polite and attentive. My server checked in to see how things were and answered my questions when I asked about certain rolls. The food came out at a nice pace, so I wasn’t waiting too long.

I ordered from the special menu on the wall, which the server showed us on an iPad with photos.
The spider roll was so good! I heard it's a limited dish, so you have to order fast. The miso soup was also great.
We arrived at 16:15 and were the first ones there.

We ordered some specials that the server displayed to us on a tablet.
For the assorted Sushi, the meckarel was great and there was no greasy fishy smell with it. And the bluefin tuna melted right away with the bites.
My favourites were the Tuna Crudo and the Spider Roll, and their ginger was exceptional. The restaurant is small but charming, with a lovely atmosphere, and the staff are very attentive.

This used to be a highly regarded sushi resto back in the day but there are just too many good options now. They haven't updated their waitlist system and you need to line up outside. The prices are decent but I would rather pay more and not have to wait outside in the cold for average food.

Great authentic sushi restaurant, contender for best sushi in Vancouver. Everything was super fresh and the service was good. Highlight was easily the salmon. Prices overall super reasonable considering the high quality!

Extremely fresh, great service and (literally) ice cold Asahi. There’s a line but it’s worth the wait!!

This place has a long wait, they don’t take reservations, and they won’t call you when your table is ready so you have to wait outside until they say your name.
Once you’re seated the service is fast and they’re very attentive. They frequently refilled our water, cleared our table, and asked if there was anything else we needed or wanted to order.
Their main selection for rolls and nigiri are pretty affordable, but their special menu can be quite pricey (probably due to the price of the ingredients) for items such as uni, bluefin, etc.
The uni nigiri here was really good, one of the better ones I’ve tried. I also tried their “Hokkaido Gunkan” which was alright but I would have preferred a normal ikura nigiri.
Overall it was a good experience and I want to come back to try more!

West Coast sushi can probably only be topped by sushi in Japan....
Space is tight but we'll utilized and efficient.
Food is positively atypical and seasonal.

Love this place. Been here coming for years.
I always like to sit at the sushi bar, here and at any respectable sushi joint.
Came in today to see they’ve built a weird plywood fence blocking your view of the sushi bar. It looks like they used plywood planks and hinges from Home Depot.
What are y’all thinking?
Take that garbage down.
