Dave and the team (special shout out to Edward) are fantastic—always friendly and welcoming. I’ve been coming here for lunch almost daily since the pandemic and the food is consistently great, convenient, and easy. What keeps me coming back is the people—they’re truly amazing!

Well are you in the middle of your work and you feel hungry. This place gives you a good space to relax and enjoy yourself. I ordered lentil soup. It was sPICY to me. And beautiful sky view and atmosphere.

I’ve been to Tractor Foods several times and usually enjoy the food, but my experience at the Robson Street location today left me frustrated and disappointed.

I ordered a build-your-own salad bowl to go - power greens, snap pea & potato mint side, and half chicken breast. My total came to $17.

This confused me because just yesterday at their Pender Street location, I ordered almost the same thing - power greens, snap pea & potato mint side, and harissa chicken (full portion) — and my bill was $16.

The staff member who made my bowl rang it in as an Everyday Bowl with half chicken breast. I explained that I had ordered build-your-own, not the Everyday Bowl.

A man (possibly a manager) then stepped in and told me that the build-your-own bowl and Everyday Bowl are “the same.” I questioned the math, just the power greens + one side is around $12? He then suggested maybe yesterday’s cashier “missed adding a side.”

Since it was the lunch rush, I didn’t want to hold up the line. But when I got home, I checked their own website. Ordering the exact same items for pickup at the same Robson location came to around $13 not $17.

It’s not about the $2.50–$3 difference. It’s about the fact that despite me pointing it out multiple times, two or three staff members insisted the higher charge was correct. That’s concerning. These are standard menu items they sell every day how do you not know the correct price?

It left me feeling like customers are either being misinformed or overcharged. And that’s not okay.

Quick update on above review - 08/07

Just wanted to give a quick update - Tractor actually reached out after my last post. They were super understanding, apologized for the situation, and even offered a refund I wasn’t expecting that, but it shows they care.

Also, shoutout to Edward who made my bowl the second time — he was super friendly and helpful.

We stopped in Tractor on Robson for a quick bite while touring Vancouver. We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the food was. I had a half roast chicken sandwich and my husband had a half avocado & chicken sandwich. They were both fantastic. I also had the blueberry mint lemonade and it was very refreshing. Good healthy food that tastes great too.

Tractor has long been one of my favourite spots for a healthy lunch, and I’ve always appreciated the quality of the food. However, I recently witnessed an interaction that left me quite unsettled. A delivery driver entered the store with a friendly smile, greeted the staff, and showed his phone to one of the male employees to confirm a pickup. The employee responded with visible disdain—he didn’t say a word, simply pointed at the food on the counter and turned away.

I understand that food delivery interactions can sometimes be challenging, but this situation did not warrant that kind of cold, dismissive treatment. The store wasn’t busy, and the driver was polite and respectful. It was disappointing to see such a lack of courtesy, especially from someone working in the service industry.

Witnessing this has made me think twice about my daily visits to Tractor. I hope the team reflects on how small interactions like these can have a big impact on the atmosphere and experience for everyone—customers and workers alike.

The Cook and the responsable of the cashier that was serving me and my boyfriend was super cold, and even made us come pick our food from the counter, even tho the next clients after us got the right to have there food brought to there table. He was also looking like he was judging us wich led us to think he was racist wich is very unfortunate in 2025 to still have people like that. Im wondering if some people had the same experience as us, he had a a tattoo on the arm, but no tag name… Food was great, but cold, and took way longer then the normal to be done.

I do not recommend this location. Tractors is incredible, the staff are lovely! I eat there at least 4 days a week but this location as well Granville and Pender are rubbish. The quality is just never the same as other locations.
